Opasha, Steering feels a bit heavier, and grips are good. I did drive a bit faster on high 5 through mountain side and it felt stable and stiffer. Just like you said going 22 didn't really change the ride quality. So far I am very happy with them. The width + spacers in the rear had me worried for a bit! but thanks to Bens inputs it turned out to be great!

Matt I think a camouflaged radar detector might be better than toll tag haha!

Arman, a lot of new designs from Hartge, AcS, Hamann I just don't care at all, so I stick with the classic. I think multi spoke wheels design look fantastic on f15, I was debating this set and Hamann anniversary evo for a long time haha.
Glad to hear the ride and handling is better . Yeah, when I read you had spacers with the 12s in the back, I was like hold up...but then I realized ok not bad thanks to the flared fenders. If you had non-flared fenders your car wouldn't be street legal I believe...at least where I live it wouldn't because you can only be so far out from the wheel well.

Also, I think maybe Armen meant in general that Hartge hasn't changed much in their OVERALL wheel selection. They only have 4 styles. Yes, thankfully they are multi-spoke because any multi-spoke will look solid on our F15s, but they should at least produce another 2-4 sets of new designs. That's just my opinion.

I think that's also why I chose the 310M - they are a double spoked wheel - 5 thin spokes in the front with a thick 5 spoke pattern behind to give the illusion of more as you drive.

For what it's worth, so far, I'm really impressed with all the 22" wheel upgrades that forum members have done on these forums. They all look fantastic. I don't recall one ugly wheel combo that I have seen.

Yeap, somewhere along those lines )) Anyway, I'm very conservative in my tastes when it comes to wheels, especially on SUVs - I almost always prefer OEM to aftermarket (with the exception of ADVs or VSs on cars like M6).

I'd really love BMW if they made an F15 version of their 433 wheel used on the 6GC. To me that design is simply stunning for a large car and there was a render somewhere along these forums on how it looks on X5.

Yes, that is my favorite wheel. The company that I bought my 22s from makes that wheel for our X5 in 20". I would have bought it if they made a 22" version. It's such a unique wheel. It was on the X5M render a while back.

Here's the wheel for our X5: http://m.ebay.com/itm/121425464293?nav=SEARCH

Here's the render. It's absolutely stunning!

Thats true actually, every 22 x5 I have seen all look great so far. I first thought 21 was the sweet spot until I saw more pictures of Opasha, zipforia, and r33 x5s. 22 fills the gap better.

Arman I too like that design, but its seen on a lot of BMWs, 6 series, m3, m4, and m5 etc. I prefer aftermarket for that personal look than an option box checked from factory. i do like that M versuon front bumper a lot Omar!

Yeah, I get what you're saying. Uniqueness is definitely something I look for. I feel that wheel in 22" would really stand out despite being similar to the M6, especially because NO ONE would have it on an X series .

The front bumper is amazing...the car just looks more aggressive/meaner. Too bad it's only a render .

Yea, it looks great Omar, all you need are wider rear wheels! =D

Blue, thanks a lot! The spacers came with Hartge set!

Thanks a lot! Being able to go with such wide tires configuration is one of the coolest aspects of X5 for me!

X5jouster,

For the spacers and accessories from Hartge,

Here is the link http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/opt...ge_accessories

They are operating in UK, so have that in mind with their currency. You have to pay quite a bit for shipping and of course calculate the currency conversion. The spacers are only intended for Hartge wheels as they also act as hub centric adapters, so be sure you ask the fitment when you inquire about them.

As for engine conversion kit, I don't think there is any US dealer selling them now, the best bet would be inquiring directly from Hartge and have them ship to you.

Member R33 has all the info you need for the various spring sets currently available for F15, there isn't a lot out now but that's what you have to deal with for such a new car.

You should get BMW center caps so it at least looks OEM. A lot of people do it with their aftermarket winter rims.

Thanks Karthik, more to come later!

Xdrive35i, why put oem caps over high quality aftermarket wheels? Defeat the purpose entirely.

That was my original plan, but it ended up being way too small. It's still a really sporty car for sure. If I had bought one, it definitely would have been this exact Macan Turbo, but I couldn't justify the price at that point (base price $72,300 with nothing included - that's how much I paid for my X5 5.0i):

Simple yet good looking mods.
Didn't dig the rims entirely but they look good overall.
Congratulations.

Wow. Looks tight! Love those wheels. Personal, I think X5 should've come with 22 options. Looks so much better with 22s.

Should've contacted me when you were down here. Would've been great to meet up.

The ride difference is minimal compared to 20 451s as I now run non RFT performance tires.

I think these are as wide as you go on X5, this is what it looks like on street. Pardon for the quality.
LOVE that steam roller look from the back!

I was set on 21 599 M wheels until I came across your thread. The 22s really fill the wheel gaps much better. Thanks for all the inputs Ray! I am coming down again towards the end of November perhaps we can do a fun meet. I'll have more completed mods by then like JB4 stage 1 and maybe 6WB on the way. I am thinking to go with Ac Schnitzer 24mm (1 inch) drop all round but it's not high on my priority list. 15mm spacers in the rear help to make the tires Pop!

turbotoy4me, Thanks for the kind words, I always like to keep the mods clean yet individualized.

More pictures coming up with iND reflectors and tinted windows!
