Sorry for your pain. I had my 2011 in the shop for 63 days straight with electrical glitches but BMW ended up ordering me a 2012 to replace it. Just be calm and understanding. May I ask how you got it up to 97k? My e70 had every option (All packages, HUD, third row, comfort access, adaptive drive but no entertainment system) and it was only 83k. How did you add 11k more in options minus the f15 price increase?

Here is how I got to $97k plus NY Tax of 8.875% and you can see why I am so pissed.... I have 3 kids that's why I got the 3rd row... And they give me a 320i ....I really hope this gets resolved quickly.... |

I believe it was a sensor going nuts on the temperature. Wife drove the car for 15 miles in the morning and parked at work. No warnings at all. Car was parked outside at -7F to -2F for 8 hours. Once she turned the car ON in the evening warning came up on the LCD even without she moved the car. She drove 15 miles back home without any issues. Parked the car overnight on a heated garage. Next morning car was OK and no warnings. It has been 3 days since it happened and no more warnings.

I'm looking forward to the Porsche Macan Turbo or S. I've been obsessing over it lately on Rennlist/6Speed, but I worry the cargo area will be too tight to fit my German Shepherd and occasional runs to the dump

Dencoop: MRV99 makes a very good point. So the vehicle you posted the build sheet snapshot of is not anywhere near to photos you posted during your recent F15 PCD delivery... i.e., Bronze vs. Mineral White and Non-MSport vs. M-Sport? I am confused? Anyone can show ticking all the options to get to $97k. |

Guys,
Please carefully review my PCD thread. I have multiple X5s in there....Mine is exectly as per the build I have no reason to say anything different from the truth...lol... The Dark color X5 you see is the shuttle X5 used to pick me up from the airport and drive me to the hotel...then from the hotel to the PCD center in the AM. On the track and the off road course other various colored X5s are used before mine was physically delivered....hope this helps. Once you carefully review my PCD thread you will see the car I took delivery off at the end of the thread.... Let me know if you need a picture of my VIN to compare to te VIN on the order sheet ...lol Here is a pic if my SAV Here is the final video... Last edited by dencoop; 12-07-2013 at 09:08 PM.. |

Just my 2 cents. still worth a test drive if you're really worried about the X5 issues. Personally, I would go Touareg over ML on looks and driving dynamics both. |

Sir Dennis As a suggestion kindly mention to BMW your elevated BMW customer status multiple ED & PCD deliveries that you expect better, much better. If you happen to have the factory managers number ( or will they page him) in NC, maybe give him/her a friendly Christmas cheer, then by the way see if from his viewpoint what is going on. By Christmas I am sure you will have a nice Xmas beer. Or should I say flute of champagne, as one PCD videos showed your late night munchies at the grocery store had a couple bottles in the cart. Thanks for sharing. |

Are you sure you aren't confusing an SQ5 to a Q5? The SQ5 is a dedicated S variant in Audi'sl line up (like the S4, S5, S7), not just a Q5 with the S-line package. In fact, the SQ5 uses a beefed up version of the same engine found in the S4. I find it hard to believe the XC60 is on par with the SQ5, perhaps a Q5 with the S-line package

However, I think I would still prefer the Audi with the 8-spd, 21" wheels, and over 1sec quicker to 60. Then again, I'm waiting to see the Macan Turbo with PDK, air suspension, sport chrono, torque vectoring! Interior will probably be too tight however...

Dencoop is correct. I did PCD and had a chance to sit in three F15 including mine. So, there is no testimony required here. |

My frontal collision has problems too. Never triggered despite active settings. Reported to dealer.
Dencoop-- do you recommend Cilajet for $700 including exterior and interior with 10 year warranty? I am not sure after market options. |

Status Update 12/9/2013:
Got a phone call from my Service Adviser @ Open Road of Edison in NJ that the car was all fixed. To say the least I got very excited, dropped everything and went to pick it up. The diagnoses stated something to the affect of "the system needed to be updated and reprogrammed" and that it was just a software resolution. I was very happy that no parts needed to be taken apart as I don't trust the build quality after things have been removed and put back together. Picked up the SAV with 895 miles on the ODO from the service department at around 3:30PM EST. On my way back home @ 927 miles on the ODO all 3 (three) issues came back I am super upset and furious at the same time. I don't think that this is acceptable. Going to try and bring it back for attempt number 2 tomorrow morning... Seems like the car has been in service longer so far then I have had it... Just unreal... Called BMWNA and opened up a case, don't know how this will get resolved...really sux... Last edited by dencoop; 12-09-2013 at 06:03 PM.. |

^ What a rollercoaster. Strange that they dismiss it as a software fix. Hopefully the case to BMWNA escalates your situation. Soon enough when it is properly fixed, ask them how they can the be sure this time?

After persistent electronic problems with my X5M, and BMW repurchasing that vehicle, I can tell you that all the customer experience is going to come from the local people. It's BMW's regional management team (after escalation from the Center GM) that'll make the calls on how to appease you. BMWNA's service team really just checks with them and reports back IMHO. If it were me, I'd be politely asking them to start building me a new car, on the anticipation that this one would be going back.... once the new one is ready. Unsure on NY's lemon law, but here in WA it only takes 3 visits for the same issue and she's gone.... |
