I know lighting isn't that great since most of these were taken while inside the shop. sorry about that. Trying to pick out a name for her at the moment also.

I commend you for the effort! It's a little too over the top for me, but can appreciate the individuality. I imagine it cost a pretty penny to fit and paint this.

Thank you for your unwarranted opinion. The day it'll be considered will be when you have put money into this project.

Definitely a big project that's taken a lot longer than expected. and definitely went way over budget. should get some money back once I've sold my stock parts.

Yeah it looks like it was a big project. Was there a lot of modification needed to fit, or did it line up fairly well?
Obviously, not that you care, but don't worry about the naysayers. This is exactly why these forums exist, to share what we do to OUR vehicles. Not everything will appeal to everyone, that's a part of modding.
Good job OP on standing out!

That statement definitely makes sense, given that you have posted that monstrosity on a public forum for people to comment on.

Except there is a difference between constructive criticism, and just being a jackass. Why tear down what someone has done?

If you see someone wearing an outfit that you don't like in public you're not going to go tell them how ugly they look. Try to have that same decorum online because most of the time it's real people behind these posts.

Definitely not. But if they walked into a pub I was sitting in and said "hey guys check out this outfit" I would share my opinion on it.

Real people need to get over being sensitive snowflakes.

This has nothing to do with people being sensitive, it has to do with showing respect for your fellow forum members.

I'm sure BDO can appreciate the workmanship that goes into this, and I too commend OP on it. Obviously capability and skills are there.

However the honest truth is that the aftermarket paneling does not compliment the car's body lines and style in any shape or form.

Individuality is definitely there but it may not yield the head turning that OP is expecting.

So i thought things were going to line up and if panels would of just been painted and glue'd on then it would of been fairly simple, but i decided to go a different route and customize everything to look more OEM and be plug and play. every single piece to include fender flares can be removed individually and has been customized. body lines have close to zero gap and the biggest thing left is to put some spacers on and it'll be ready to take to some car shows this summer in europe.

I liked the original X5 M sport look on its own, but my previous car i owned for almost 5 years and never did anything to customize it and make it my own. It was a big regret. so when i bought this one i told myself that wasn't going to happen again. This why i chose the more aggressive look.

So you really went all out on it! Congrats on your project.

Doing car audio now. As I like to have some bass in my vehicles. I'm keeping the HK mids and tweeters. But putting 2x sundown audio SD-4s in custom built enclosures. Wanted to keep my cargo area. And I have 3rd row seating. [IMG][/IMG]
