Where is it grounded?

You can use any screw that has contact to the metal body of the car.

Nice. What was the total price on amazon? Since F550 has english firmware, I bet the Korean version will work too. The price here is about $230 with all the cables, rear camera, 32G memory, etc.

Yeah, that's WAY cheaper. Here is the Amazon price:

1) Front camera ($239.99): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

2) Rear Camera ($99): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

3) Hardwire Kit ($39.99): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (I guess I bought the only kit they had left in stock)

Great DIY, r33. Now I know what I'll equip my dealer with to do this properly (as much as I'm good at driving cars, I suck (or afraid? hmmm...) at doing such DIY things with them).

P.S. Anyone believes that installing a dash-cam is a magnet for something to happen? ;/ Had a quite a few fellas that had road accidents just days after they installed dash-cams. Coincidence?

I'm not sure what they were doing when they got into those accidents, and I hope they are ok. However, fiddling with the dash cam while driving on public highways/roads is just an accident waiting to happen . It's no different than texting while driving. Your attention is diverted.

The main purpose of these cams is to review an accident (evidence in a collision), protect your parked car with surveillance against vandalism or hit and runs, or turning it on while parked before entering and recording on a track the way @r33 has done.

Nah, just the usual driving and then some minor accidents happened. My brain tells me it's clearly a coincidence, but somewhere inside there's this little bastard voice saying: "Are you sure, pal?

Found an interesting product while looking for dashcams. It's a "hard wire" installation kit. Just a simple piggyback fuse tap. http://thedashcamstore.com/universal...ceted_search=0

Now if I wanted to use this installation kit, where would be the the optimal fuse box (front or rear) and which fuse to tap?
