Oof. Given the extensiveness of the damage, you're going to end up having to repaint your entire vehicle.

Too minor to paint it touch up. Just normal wear n tear. Very odd area that no one looks at.

Gonna take it to bodyshop, hope they can blend it with factory paint and clear coat it and I'll cover it with xpel film to avoid scratching in the future. thanks!

Or this http://www.langka.com/ or dr. colorchip may be, but rather do it professionally... fill in, because it's to the bare metal and rust will go.

Ya i would probably do the dr-colorchip with fine tooth-pin tool and apply clear coat than wet sand to level and polish. Repaint will never be like factory paint. Repaint cars are no good. I have a deep chip like this on my hood maybe bigger than this and it's been years and no rust. Same color to space gray metallic. Very hard to match space gray accurately. There's so many shades to SGM in different lighting's that paint job won't be the same.

I think its totaled and its time to buy a new car. If you want to waste $800,your call pal, but I would just buy $50 touch up kit or simply ignore it. Not visible, not worth spending any money IMO.

All jokes and sarcasm aside, just leave it like it is. This is absolutely not worth wasting money on.

Wow well that escalated quickly. £800 could allow me to retrofit a stealth hitch onto my x6
As a mere peasant with an average salary I shall stick to my £20 touch up pen.

Many of us have gouges from seatbelt buckles getting closed accidentally in the door opening.

It feels bad for a little while - then, acceptance creeps in and you realize nobody really cares.

Sleep on it for a few weeks and give yourself a chance to save alot of money. You will need it for all the other things that will certainly fail in the future.

That's what I'll do, just to feel better - do a touch up and put on a film ;-)

Ya i don' t care about car nicks and dings anymore. I used to keep my brand new car spot less and hand detail them for hours until one day i hand detailed my 2018 Lexus Gx460 for 6 hours and it was totaled the next morning by a friend. it had less than 30K odo and owned for only 13 months. Than my BMWs f10 i also detailed it and made it perfect and clean the ivory white interior than next morning totaled. Insurance does not pay for anything they lowball like crazy regardless of company. When that happened i realized cars are made to be used and abused. wasting time on cleaning or keeping it ding free is also a waste of time.

Just invest in some real color matching touch up paint. Greys can be a b$^%& to color match. Touch it up, and you should be good to go! The PPF probably isn't necessary. First time that areas been scratched in 7 years, probably won't ever happen again

Any would probably be fine honestly. I've used a DR colorchip product before years ago when I had my evo. The kit worked great, but I was also trying to cover many rock chips and you just have the one scratch. You only need like two drops of paint lol. I'd say get whatever is cheapest/least amount to save money

Had similar problem, just took transparent nail polish from my wife, to protect against moisture.
But I'm sure you'll find something on Amazon
