Yes, it seems to me the more you pay the more you wait - typical!

I ordered mine on 3/4/2014 and it is still saying: "We are currently processing your order and will inform you once your BMW enters production."
Until yesterday operator was giving me 12th week for production date. I called today and was told it will go to production tomorrow. Fingers crossed! |

Rhonig, this is incredible, you order your new far and get it almost overnight ?? I ordered on 3/3, my car can be delivered earliest mid December, then lease company does not want it to be delivered before Jan 2015 for obvious reasons (registration in new year). Dealer was promised BMW would increase allocations, now BMW steps back. Dealer says this is costing them money because of takeover contracts for buyers old cars, etc. Customers are complaining at the dealer about these abnormal delivery schedules. Seems nobody is happy ... I think i'll move to the US. On top of it, the car costs 40% less, the fuel is cheaper and the roads are better.

Zero out and speak with a rep. The automated system said that mine was estimated for completion today but the BMW rep confirmed that it was actually released to the carrier yesterday and is expected to reach my NY dealer on Thursday.

Ordered my X5 40d in Germany on 30/12/2013. finally got my VIN (last 7 digits) from the dealer. I was able to call the 1-800 from Germany today using Skype. the voice said finished production on 17th Jan!! I waited to speak to a real person who said he could not find the vehicle because it was not ordered in the USA.
Any experience with tracking X5s ordered in Germany. Is it usual if the production finished on Jan 17 for the dealer to tell me to expect the car Mid April. Any thoughts will help |

I think it takes about 4-6 weeks for delivery via ship to Europe. The ships first port of call is Bremerhaven so your shipping time will be less than for those of us waiting for our cars in the UK - we're the LAST place the ship visits before returning to the US. I was told that it is sometimes possible to find your car by entering the VIN in the shippers search page (not sure which box you need to enter the VIN): https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage Looking at the shipping schedules there are several vessels arriving in March that originate in Charleston SC, on the 27th and 31st. The next one arrives 14th April. You an see the shipping schedule here: http://sagaweb.2wglobal.com/AppSched...pe=generatePDF BMW might use other shipping lines though I know my F25 X3 was transported on this line.
