My New 2015BMWX5_50i DGM

[2015BMWX5_50i]

Hello new to the Bimmer world... Just picked up a

2015 X5 50i with the following options:
-Dark Graphite Metallic
-Luxury Line
-Cold Weather Package
-Executive Package
-Lighting Package

I am loving this thing.. And have couple of questions?

1. When I get in this X5 sound like a hissing noise like air bags or something?

2. Window Sticker say 20 in wheels and the door jam says 20" but, I in fact have 19".

Congrats, call up your dealer and collect your 20's. As for the hissing noise I believe that's normal. My Mercedes' and X5 does this

As Taran said... call your dealer asap and drive back tomorrow to have them fit your 20" wheel/tire set. I'll bet another SA didn't want to lose a sale that hinged on the customer getting a +1 setup before taking delivery.

The noise you hear is normal... it's the fuel pump getting primed in anticipation of a drive.

Congrats! Beautiful car. The 19" rims you have are actually for the xline and not luxury line. BMW also use these rims as part of the winter wheels/tires set, which I doubt this is the case. Most likely it was swapped with another car. Call up the dealer and collect your 20" rims. Enjoy it in good health. Good luck.

Just looked and the xline does add the wheels..

Nice color! Congrats!

I debated slightly on this color or get the Msport... I just can't seem to like the looks of the luxury or the Xline... Msport is a must so space gray was my next choice in color

Looking at the www.bmwusa.com when you click on:
Luxury Line says 19" Light alloy V-Spoke wheel design
xLine says 19" Light alloy Orbit Grey wheels style 449-with all season run-flat tires

These add the 950 charge 20" Light alloy Y-Spoke wheels style 451-with performance run-flat tires

Just contacted Dealer see what they say..

I think you're going to have a hard time getting the 20s that were suppose to come on your car. The contract you signed probably has some clause about taking the car as is.

With that said, you should make a huge deal out of it and tell them to take the 20s off another car lol

Thanks well just got off the phone with the sales guy and the manager and they are going to try and get me the wheels.. He will call me tomorrow. Hope it goes fine. Had to send them all the pictures...

Your car came with 20" wheels from the factory and they took them off. Call the dealer and speak with the sales manager. You have a copy of the window sticker showing that and also the wheel arches are for 20" wheels. Tell them that they need to swap the wheels immediately, you have the proof that your car came with 20" wheels. Someone in that dealership should get in trouble for doing this. Do not let this experience take away from enjoying your beautiful car. Good luck

Thanks POBA, that is what the Manager said. He had no info on the swap. He will get me the 20' for the car. I will keep calling until I get them..

Of course, expected response that he does not have any info about the swap. He is not going to admit that they "borrowed" your more expensive wheels. Regardless, they need to fix it.

Was your car made to order or off the lot? If it was built to order then the Dealer should definitely give you what you paid for... if it was off the lot then you might have to take it as is unless the dealer decides to play nice.
