In reality, 'invoice' does not mean much for the dealer's P&L (profit and loss). The numbers/business/finance guys make all the decisions in the back-end and they decide if it's worth their while selling the car to the potential customer for that amount that we call "plus or minus invoice". You have to remember that dealers get all sorts of backend rebates that we will never know about. You can be sure that the dealer does not lose money no matter what price they sell the car for. Negotiate a number that works for you as a percentage off MSRP based on many factors like location, time of purchase, the number of dealers competing for your business etc. My 2 cents.

Thanks for post!

Do you mind sharing the dealer information?

Thanks.

You can PM me for dealership details.

Edit: A lot of members are talking about not going to the cheapest dealership and to take other factors such as customer service, Service dept, etc. into consideration, and I completely agree. Sometimes its worth paying more for better service.
That being said the dealership I purchased from is a 2014-15 recipient of the BMW Center of Excellence award given to the top 15 dealerships in BMWNA.

I would say BMW of Freehold. Three BMW's from them and I can tell you that other dealerships can't match their prices. Ask for Danny Claro he's really a great guy and very straight forward. Another great guy there is Orville Bynoe. He was involved in my last sale and did a f------ job getting the numbers right along with Danny. Also there's Frank the Genius Guru that knows everything about BMW's!

I would highly recommend reaching out to David Aviles here on the forum or by phone; he is at Steve Thomas BMW in CA but I bought a car from him last year that was delivered at the PC. If you want to do a PCD, he will be super competitive (noone came close to him in NJ) and you will also enjoy a super experience. Highly recommend.

Hello all, just bumping this thread to see if anyone can share contact info on a dealer that can do under invoice in the NY NJ area. I have a trade to factor in so I know that there will be variables. Many thanks.

beyond the lowest possible price, look for a dealer who actually knows the small details. like a dealer who will let you order m adaptive suspenion with m sport if that is what you want regardless of what the website says. also a dealer who will let u change options till the last day. to me these things are more imp than saving 500usd.

I always get the best deals with BMW of Freehold. Let me know if you want a contact there. For parts/accessories, I go to Circle BMW.

Possibly, but to me having exceptional service/experience was worth it even if it meant i had to pay a little more.
I would have stopped looking too, once I found that deal.

We have only 5 or 6 dealers in Colorado, and they all sell a buttload of X5s. It's pretty hard to find really screaming deals around here, unless it's on a lot car you probably don't want.

I'm jealous of the guys in SoCal, where there seems to be a dealer every half mile on the highway, and all these sponsors who post invoice +500 deals for the asking.
