Gorgeous car! If you don't mind, what kind of discounts did you get? You said the other one had a markup.

The other one was marked up $10k over MSRP ('market adjustment'). I paid MSRP -$1000 loyalty.

Any difference in feel with the 20's on the one you test drove? More interested to see if you noticed a significant difference in steering feel and/or handling than ride quality.

I initially thought that the 19's looked too small, but the more i look i prefer the 19 msport rim over the 20". plus i live in NYC with their crappy roads and occasional snow, so i need the all weather tires and smaller rims. great looking car, looks much better than the non M-sport i saw today at the dealer.

Do the gauges go orange/red at night?

I am sure it is like the E70. If you have the ///M or the TTV8 they will both be open. The others have the fake covers. I am sure it helps with the drag by some ridiculously small number.

Gauges are white when just the angel eyes are on... Once the headlights are on it's orange. You can also change the color of the ambient lighting to orange or blue or white or a combo setting that I haven't really figured out.

It really is a great looking car in person.

The ride on the 19's is great. It was also great in the 20's... Slightly more stiff but nothing dramatic. My other car is an F10 with KWV3 coilovers so comparing the 2 is a bit difficult for me.

You won't be disappointed in the ride at all.

I went with the 19" for the same reasons you did. Living in Chicago, we can get some rough weather, and I think the 19"s will handle better.

Not to mention the horrible roads in the city :-)

+1. I'm sticking with the 19's for the same reasons and I'm not even in the city much. I'll still put snows on it in the winter, but the car is for my wife so I'd rather protect against pot holes and give her a softer ride. Now if the same style of the m sport 19's were available in 20's, that I might not have been able to resist.

My E70's has/had 20's in Chicago and I have never had an issue since 2007. I originally had 255 All seasons on my 2007 but I swapped them out for summer 20's and the 19's became my winters. Tough to beat that stance with 315's on the back. Yes the AS did work just fine but the Winters just work sooo much better. Especially in Chicago where you have to worry more about the other driver and the evasive maneuver to avoid them.

I had my f10 in Chicago for 2.5 years on coilovers and did great. Maybe scraped bottom twice.

I've only been to Chicago once and didn't drive myself at all... So I can only assume you have better roads than we do. I live in the suburbs and still bend rims for a living on our finest potholes.

I hear you ChrisNYC, I'm out in the burbs as well, w/ a 550i sport... Getting my rims fixed is routine maintenance for me.... Most recently, I blew a tire and flattened a rim, going through a construction zone, while headed out to Wayne, NJ... I stuck w/ the "19s on my F15 M-Sport order, in hopes of giving myself a fighting chance at avoiding regular rim maintenance...

Which begs the question... How are the newer run flats, in general? Back in '07, my wife had an '08 330i w/ run flats. In addition to the horrible ride, they couldn't hold air. My test drive of the M sport F15 was pretty comfortable and w/ little road noise. Can anyone comment on durability of run flats in the last 4 yrs?

It's Carbon Black Metallic... Really nice in person. Hard to photograph.

I didn't actually order it... I saw one posted on the SF showroom the other morning and drove it. White with mocha interior. Gorgeous. Wife hates the brown interior and they had a significant markup on the vehicle.

30 minutes after I drove that one; I got a message from my guy at Sonnen that one came in. I snatched it up.
Gratz on the grab and great color choice, rmastale... I'm a bit bias b/c I have the a 550i sport, C-black as well... Someone either on this thread, or another said it best, "its like getting two colors for the price of one"...

rmastale, have you seen anything on accessories (apart from floor mats)for F15? The cross bars for the roof rack, specifically... Either through BMW or via third party.

Thanks,
M

I agree. This new one looks more station wagon, softer. Props on getting msport! Looks like $20k in options there!

Color match those reflectors STAT!

I've seen very little in terms of accessories. My dealer had some laser printouts of stuff but I wasn't really paying attention. My 5 and 3 year old were with me so I was more concerned with the can of Hawaiian Punch they had over near the M6s.

I'll see if he can send to me and I'll post.

Let's just say I can't wait for the 21s to arrive and for the first place to offer up those reflector replacements.

So the 35 and the 50 now share the same shaped exhaust outlets? Last year the 35's had round outlets didnt they? I also noticed the smaller AC vents up front. Being from the south with 105-108 degree days, its something you have to keep in mind.
