Multi-Contour Seat Bolster Question

Hi All,

On my E70 when I entered or exited the car the seat bolsters would inflate or deflate accordingly.

On my F15 they do not. Kzang says his do.

What do yours do?

Thanks!

kinda off topic but since we're talking about seats, if im understanding this correctly... the MC seats have adjustable upper seat backs where it can "curve" forward to hug ur shoulders more, what about comfort seats? do comfort seats have this setting as well or not? i cant find any definitive answers for this as judging from pictures i cant tell which is MC and which is comfort seats from the M sport package. And if the comfort seats have this as well, then what are the differences between comfort seats and MC seats?

Msports come with sports seats standard.
Multi- contour seats is same as comfort seats. So yes these seats adjust forward at the top.

Anyone with a 2016 have automatic adjusting bolster for ingress and egress? I'm wondering if this is strange change to the 2016...

Just curious, does your steering wheel also adjust back to default when exiting the car?

I suspect your seats ( if they are in fact comfort seats or multi contour seats ) are defective.

I'll have to check another 2016 at the dealer. The "Genius" lady said they don't deflate any longer when you get out of the car. So according to them, my car is how it should be.

I definitely have the correct seats - it's on my sticker and they are ventilated.

Hi, i have the 2016 x35i M sport with the Ventilate Multi-Countour seat. Neither the bolster or steering wheel move upon entering or powering off the car.
As a side note, during the initial seating, I find the seat very comfortable, but after a about 2 hours of driving, my right thigh will start getting pain. Any comment?

If you have left the steering adjustments on default setting ( have not adjusted it ) then it's possible that the steering wheel will not move. Try adjusting the steering wheel to your liking along with the seats and then with "your" keyfob in hand set the memory of your seat #1. Then try to test if the seats side bolsters and steering wheel will adjust back to default location when shutting down or adjust to your specific setting after you start the car.

Regarding the pain of your right thigh, try adjusting the thigh extensions or lowering / raising the front part of the seats. Everyone's body is different and that is the beauty of the multi contour adjustable seats.

or the memory module. if the bolsters were saved in the memory position and do not move then it is a possibility.

on my vehicle the seat moves all the to the furthest back setting, bolsters open wide and the steering retracts into the dash.

Having the seats move all the way back when the car is off would be insane. Imagine if you have a infant car seat or you have bigger than average passengers still sitting behind you. Wouldn't make sense to do that.

i have infant seats in the vheicle and i imagine the engineers over at bmw thought of this and have pinch protection on the motor but it is only when the vehicle is shut off completely and you exit the vehicle but yes it does this and if i recall correctly the RRS-SC and the RR-SC i owned did this as well.
