Computer Reprogram Issue?

Hi Guys,

Haven't been on here since I sold my 335d. Thinking about coming back to BMW - looking at a 14 diesel.

Looking through the Carfax, saw a recurring issue with the computer. The fact that the dealer did not CPO it, carbon build up issues and the repeated computer reprogramming has me worried.

Anybody shed any light on what else to look out for? Here is the list... Thanks in advance for your help! Need to decide by tomorrow at 5pm EST.

I don't think I would be overly concerned. Programming is required frequently on BMW with certain service items like battery replacement.

I've been known to call the selling dealers service dept and ask for a copy of all "my" vehicles service records.

Absolutely. Already requested from the selling dealer but they are not the servicing dealer. Since they are both BMW dealers, hoping they share a maintenance database. Next call would be to servicing dealer for "my" records. Thanks.

if it was covered under warranty which i believe it was they will have the service history whether they were servicing dealer or not... only customer cash RO are stored locally in servicing dealer.
