Anyone have the new Pirelli PZero PZ4 RFT Tires?

Time for some new tires... dealer showed me these new ones with replace the "old" PZeros. Better tread rating and it's considered a "luxury" tire now. Better noise isolation apparently.

Anyone have these?

Looks promising but I've never had a good Pirelli.

I have just done my first tire change on a 2014 BMW X5 50i MSport and the wheels I had on originally were a set of Pirelli Pzero Run Flats and while they were not too bad, I decided to ditch the run flats and go with a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

What a difference. The car is literally transformed. Yes I have compromised on the run flat convenience but the benefit of ride quality, sporty feel and driving confidence is worth it.

Hope this helps.

They are more expensive than the current P Zeros... I really doubt i will go for P Zeros again on my X5. The Continental DWS06 are cheaper and has very good reviews.

Omar, what size rims do you have? I'd love to get some Michelin pilot super sports, but I didn't think they came in the optional 20" rim sizes.

I'am also with DWS , less wearing , more ride comfort.

I am running 21" wheels but I do believe pilot super sports are available in 20". It may also be the case that they have been now replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 which is a new series introduced to replace or update the Michelin Pilot Super Sport.

Either way non-runflat gives a better performance all around and I think Michelin might just have the edge over Pirellis.

Thanks all! I went ahead and ordered them.

This is the car that the wife and kid ride around in. So the option of non-RFT isn't one I'd feel comfortable with. Especially as I've had two nails in the rears in the past year.

Will get them put on this weekend :-)

+1...wish I had switched sooner. As mentioned above, I too have never had a good experience with Pirelli tires.

I have these in my X5 35i Msport with the black 20s. They feel good and no noise at all. My 2014 x5 continentals were noisy.

Just picked up my new X5 50i with 20" M wheels and it came with the new PZ4 version of the PZero tires.

I had the "older" Pirelli PZero 20" tires on my '14 X5 which I traded in, and the new tires definitely seem to ride and handle better. However, the PZero's on my '14 were getting pretty old and worn, so that probably has something to do with it.
