This is mine with MSW 47 19' rims + Bridgestone blizzak RF tires.
Probably will not need them that much in Belgium but at least my M 469 keep clean during the "salt infested roads" season...

On my way to pickup my X5, we left in a blizzard, and stopped off to pick these X Line wheels from a fellow member. They were like new with Pirelli Scorpion Winters ready to be mounted. The dealer slapped them on and voila! Yeah I need spacers very badly!!

Last shot with some other toys...

Anyone out there have Pirelli Scorpion Winter Run Flats? How are they performing for you?

Thanks!

First time on an F15 but I had them before on X5M and 48i. Standard version (non-rft) in 21" on every Q7 I owned. I had them in double digit snow accumulation and single digit temps. No issues at all. (For the RR and RRSC I used the Michelin ones the MFG recommends and no complaints either. If they make those in your size you'll see they're slightly less expensive and a viable option.)

Have only done about 1500 miles, but no major complaints.

That said, I did get stuck on the attached photo this afternoon in Austria.

So far so good. They make a bit of noise but no big deal. Grip well on dry wet and the little snow I've been in. I have confidence that they will do just fine in the snow with smart driving.

Chip off the (new) block....

Washing the car this morning and guess what...freshly glossed left rear has a chip in it. Damn and Blast!!!!

Any suggestions on what to do before I take it into the shop come spring time to minimise the damage between now and then.

I'd find a paint match and just touch it up. Your won't see it. That's when black wheels are the best! I would just clean the spot with alcohol then just dab some paint. You can wait and re-apply to fill the groove in.

This. You won't even notice it's there.

Can't see it getting worse. If you want just apply some alloy wheel paint then lacquer or wait till spring changeover. Yours are OEM, should be fine.
I have black wheels and simply enjoy the look before the summer silver alloys return. I like the contrasting color change.

It was about a foot deep. I was about the second one in the parking lot and was so excited I drove right up to the base of the lift.

Was pretty embarrassing when I tried to leave. A guy in a Macan came over to help rock me out.

With those Snow & Ice skins, that shouldn't have been a problem. Are you turning off DTC/DSC? Better to let all four wheels spin, otherwise the traction control systems are fighting it constantly.
