Thanks all, was told it wasn't going into production till second week of April. Nice surprise.

Haven't sold 35d yet, M3 is gone. Will need the X5d to get around until the M shows up, hoping to have someone lined up to take it though.

Has your x5d had the airbag recall work done? If not, I found it tough to sell our 2013. Might be worth looking into ways to get it done ahead of time if not done already...

How do you get the more detailed status like the one in your screenshot? I log into MyBMW and only see that it is in "Production Begins"...

I ordered mine on 3/1, production was scheduled for week 14, delivery by mid-April (which is fine by me as that matches the end of a current leased X5 50i).

Call BMW genius for the most accurate update on your car.
844-443-6487. Give them your production number. You might be surprised to find out your car is already built and on its way.

Thanks! They were able to tell me it went into production as of yesterday, with an estimated completion of April 8.

Got it from my dealer. As others have noted, call BMW Genius as much as you want to get a status.


I just got off the phone with them and mine went into production on Mar 28th and sounds like it'll be complete April 5th.

While waiting for our F31 to be built, I programmed the automated number as a "BMW Build Status" contact into my phone with a build #, etc so I could speed dial it.

Something like:

18008311117,,2,,,(your build #),,1

Not sure if that still works or not, but give it a shot.
