Collected New Azurite Black X6 M50d
Hey all
Thought some of you may be interested - just picked up my new X6 M50d. I know a few of our British friends have been quite active on this board whilst waiting for (and some having now collected) their M50d's all around the same time. Well, I think we probably shared the same ship across. Close to a full-house of all the major options spec wise, including dynamic handling package. Exterior colour is Azurite Black, and interior is Taupe with the leather dash option and black alcantara roof lining. Haven't had much of a chance to really drive her yet, but if there are any questions, will do my best to help. |

Lovely looking M50d and the internal colour and texture choices combine very nicely - the Fineline Pure Wood Trim sets off the Taupe Merino leather beautifully

Great looking car Zimbo.
I was looking at Azurite Black when placing my order but couldn't justify the extra money when it was so close to Carbon Black. I like the individual interior in a slightly different colour to mine but really nice. I'm pleased to see another M50d owner has joined the forum. Look forward to hearing your opinion on the car and engine once you have had a few days driving. Collecting mine tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. I drive to Switzerland every year so may see you speeding along the motorway soon

Great and you won't be disappointed. 26 months on I am still enjoying my X6 M50d and it always attracts positive comments. Performance is great, loosing out only to V8's (see my other thread). Let us know about the seats. I've just got the Dakota in red and if I change next year I'll need to do something different with the seats and I quite like the black/white combo in comfort.

Thanks all. Yes, very happy with how the various colour and trim combos turned out. Taupe is not as "bright" is Ivory, and a bit different, so went with that. Also goes well with the brown leather on the dash. Think it looks great, but we will see how well it ages and deals with blue jeans! I am sure I am going to become a good customer of SwissVax!
Still not had much of chance to drive it properly, too busy with the work that pays for it! Most of the interesting mountain passes are still closed or covered with snow here though, and the car is on summer tyres, so maybe having to wait is not a bad thing. Have really enjoyed reading about, and looking at the photos, of others that have picked up their vehicles recently. X5M50d - have fun at your delivery, look forward to seeing pictures. Also agonised over the carbon and azurite black choice. Was a close choice to go with the latter, but I am sure you will be thrilled with carbon, they are very close. Look forward to seeing you on the road here. Wing Co - the seats look and feel awesome! The extended leather on the dash, doors, and lower dash also really makes a huge difference to the interior as well. Comfort seats have been fantastic for the limited time I have sat in them so far. Note I didn't spec seat ventilation specifically because I didn't want the perforated seats. Obviously a subjective thing, but I feel the perforations ruin the look and feel. |
