New steering column at 14,000 miles on my 2016. Just doesn’t feel the same and the steering wheel is not as centered as before.

This so bad to hear. I am scheduled for the same problem on Wednesday, 15 000 km. Was your entire steering column replaced or just the electric motor used for the adjustment? In my case, when i reported the problem, the dealer removed the electric motor, ordered a new one and returned the car. I have been driving with an "unadjustable" steering column for almost 2 weeks.

I have a 2005 RX. While transmission is bulletproof and car is very reliable, most issues are cosmetic (black trim fading, rear quarter panel black trim falling out, which is a common issue for this model, leather dashboard cracking and melting).

Anybody notice just one exhaust tip covered in black soot while the other tip is shiny? This is for a 2015 35i.
I also noticed on cold days that the same exhaust pipe is the only one billowing fumes. It's like only half my exhaust is working? : |

I don't recall that the cold start would have the second exhaust opened. Anyway, my '15 35i produced the very deep and nice sound in the cold start, probably 5-15 seconds, but I didn't pay attention if the second exhaust was opened at the time. Or, the sound was due to the flap opening in the first exhaust. |

Just wondering if anyone else hears a sharp shrieking noise as they floor it in sport plus? I know the turbo makes noise and the exhaust but this sounds kinda odd, don't hate it just wondering if anyone else has this

Hi Guys - Engine idling issue
I have a 2014 s25d and the car currently has this problem where the RPM bounces erratically when idling in Drive (sometimes in Neutral, but never in Park) – see video attached Funnily, it only occurs during the summer months or temperatures of >20 degrees (e.g. around now in Sydney) and goes away during winter. I also noticed that: > it can get quite erratic / rough to the point where you have to press on the brake pedal quite firmly (otherwise it will jerk forward); and > the engine fan will remain on after the engine is turned off for the next few minutes if this RPM issue surfaces (that is, this RPM idling issue doesn't happen all the time, only occasionally when the temperature is above 20 degrees ish). The problem initially surfaced in the summer months of last year and we have brought it to the dealer but we could not reproduce the problem (hence the video now) – thus nothing has been done apart from some 'reflash' of some software?. But that ofcourse did not fix the problem. Before I head to the dealer again shortly (warranty expiring soon!), I was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar issue so I can point them in the right direction as to which part is failing (or any BMW mechanics here?). As a point of reference, the car is regularly serviced, only has 28,000kms on the clock and around three years old. If it helps, there is nothing wrong with the driveability of the car when that issue surfaces – engine does not lose any power and still pulls strong, and fuel economy is the same (not worse). Thanks for all your help! |

The X is in servicing for raspy horn sound, iDrive knob tightening when rotating, and engine light on.

I have the squeak when moving the wheel up and down. I also have some weird sound above the passenger head visor that happens while driving. It's like a bunch of water is stuck.

Steering wheel squeaks going up and down or it squeaks when the suspension moves? F or R if the latter (also, L or R)?

After replacing a steering Column, the squeak noise disappear. I end up trade it in for a Lexus Rx350, after 12 months of ownership. I like the F15 a lot when everything is working, but you will never know something will break when you start the car in the morning.
