H&R lowering springs

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I was wondering if anybody that has H&r springs could provide some feedback on the ride quality compared to stock

I have always driven lowered European cars and bought the M to get away from of all the issues of a slammed car. I will be putting 22"s on the M and need to drop the car a little and In between the ACS springs with very little drop and the H&r. Visually I like the Hr drop more

Appreciate the help

Ehloo , H&R always give you the best drop. But the trade off is a springy ride.
ACS is less drop by more comfortable ride.
Check out my mod thread on my F15 with H&R and 22" HRE.

If I were you, I would wait for K&W V3 to release. Do it right the first time or don't do it all.

Lowering your car on springs will shorten the OEM strut's life and void the strut's warranty. The price of replacement OEM struts would cost more than K&W V3. Just wait for the good stuff, don't half ass it.

Tried the KW v3 on my '11 X5 M and had nothing but problems.

Dreaded spring binding / coil bind at low speeds when turning left, right.

Many other users has this same issue but was underreported. I posted a few YouTube vids and even contacted KW with no resolution.

That's shocking. Is that only for X5M? I've never heard anything negative about the V3. Some members love it so much, they use V3s for every BMWs they've own like kitw

H&R is really bouncy. I would never put H&R in any BMW.

Don't get me wrong, they were great but the popping / binding sound drove me crazy.

I posted a large thread on the previous generation X5/X6 ///M forum.

There were quite a few whom had it

And when I contacted KW they indicated they were not aware of it but indeed a few posters here has also contacted them with the only solution to replace the helper spring or use Torrington bearings, which still dos not work
