Damaged Dinan exhaust tips

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I purchased a Dinan exhaust from a board member, seems the tips were messed up in shipping. Dinan told me the only way to fix it is to purchase a new exhaust!! I was wondering if anyone had black tips laying around or knows where I can get them. I know Dinan used to sell them outright.

Cheers,
JP

Will shipping insurance cover replacement?

Any reputable exhaust shop should be able to install tips of your choice. Obviously, they will need to cut/remove the damaged ones. I know this since I contemplated changing the stainless steel tips on my Dinan exhaust - but changed my mind.

have a shop cut it or DIY with a pipe cutting tool (you can at one on amazon under $20) and go buy slip on tips online of your chose. just make sure the inlet size can fit over the dinan pipes. or you can have the shop cut it and welded on.

I have this same issue and called around to see if someone can fix the tips but people suggested just replacing them. I'm curious on the inlet size as well.

Mine were not damaged but poke out little more than I want. I could have a muffler shop cut them and shorten the length if I cant find any replacement tips. I actually have M tips on my stock exhaust I will see if they will fit

I reached out to them and a friend who's a Dinan dealer and both said they don't. Would be interesting if they indeed do sell them.
