You clearly are unable to comprehend what I’m saying. All good. Cheers.

What is it that you’re saying that my feeble little mind can’t comprehend? Perhaps you can express it phonetically for my benefit. Educate me...don’t give up on me.

I think what CeeTeex5 is saying is that you can get by and get decent traction with the all seasons , he is not denying that snows are better just not necessarily needed.

No. That's what I'm saying. I repeatedly stated that, in the State of Washington, winter tires don't really come into play. I lived in Vancouver, which is an hour's (or so) drive north of Seattle and never had winter tires on my car as it would snow once every 4 years or so and would rarely go under freezing temperatures. My point was that winter tires are far far far superior to 4 seasons in a true winter climate (absolutely no comparison).

And that, just because he hasn't had any incidents in the snow with his 4 seasons, they are just as good as dedicated winter tires. I don't have an issue with people using 4 season tires all year long. I'm just making the point that dedicated winters are FAR superior to 4 seasons in ANY winter (and near-winter) conditions. To which he continually asks for proof...

If you couldn't comprehend what I was saying, it's really not worth any extra effort to explain any further. Re-read my posts. It's quite clear.

This is what I was asking for proof of, “all seasons turn in to hockey pucks and do not provide any traction regardless of snow”. Understand?

Winter tires are an overkill when you only get measurable snow a few times.
Had been using DWS in a snow belt area for many years.
So long as tread is high, you'll be ok.
Winter tires are killing your car's performance and gas mileage!

Boys, chill out. There are merits to any choice. No one if forced into a situation, unless the laws of the land dictate. Simply pick what meets you needs within your own comfort zone. Get a grip, we are only talking tires

It's funny that you said "boys". Because it is quite true.
Very few women appear to be members in this forum.
We need some diversity!
It's true that men are more fascinated with cars and mods by nature.. But a few women pitching in their thoughts would not hurt!

Well my daughter lives in Vail, CO and has been using Blizzaks for years on her Acura RDX. Winter tires are a must and the law if driving the Vail Pass, you only get one chance to save your life. It's pretty much like you see products defined, "Good, Better, Best", with Best being good Winter Tires. If you feel like rolling the dice in snow (even once) then don't bother with Winter Tires. Why buy a 40-70k SUV and not spent 1k on winter tires to protect you, your vehicle, your family or someone else .... doesn't makes sense to me.

In vail, yeah.. Was there late April of last year, and it was snowing, albeit not measurable.
All depends on the area

this isn't chill?

I've had more heated discussions at work.

I invested all right.. Still running snow tires as temps have not crossed 45 yet.. And got 10'' of "frozen" stuff the other day.

Wow. Has anyone else in your life called you arrogant and condescending? If not, then it must be me. If yes, then...

wow, really? Let's rewind for a sec...You quoted my 3 week old post thinking you were going to try to teach me something I didn't already know. Or what was your intent? Your post also could be perceived as condescending no?

And in your effort you completely misunderstood my point. What were you expecting? Me to politely explain it to you after that?

I was trying to participate in a post, expressing my opinion. I never insulted or tried to demean anyone. For whatever reason, you did. Still don’t understand why. Because I didn’t pick up on something quickly enough? Because I disagreed with you? There was no justification for your reaction. My accusing you of being condescending is easily identified by your insulting my intelligence. What did I say to you to make you feel small (apart from my last post which was made for obvious reasons)? You know, never mind...life is too short.

I know I thought they would of all been dead by now, I’m actually surprised PITA has intervened with this thread.
