if you put on this new wheel and paddles would it work on a car without paddles. I have a thought that the Sports gearbox offered in UK for £175, is just the addition of the paddles but no change to the actual gearbox.

Previous E70 owners seem to have replaced steering wheels as above and the paddles just work.

I am interested in this- honestly, I just want an X-Line Wheel with paddles. I'd settle for the M-Sport wheel...

Love the black grilles. Wonder how hard to change?

If I select my 2014 X5 on the web page that it recommends none of the options show up. Does anyone know what the status is with this?

I'd say something along the lines of a 40%-60% profit margin and a long line of customers who know and care nothing about the aerodynamic effects waiting to hand over their money

...or maybe you could be slightly less cynical and appreciate its aesthetic value. The X5 is about making a statement. This helps.

If you consider this trim as an addition to the M-Sport package (i.e. on M50d), one has to wonder what they have to come up with on the actual X5 M. It's as if BMW's just finding "new" (as in not) ways to milk brand fans...

My saleswoman is pricing out the steering wheel, shifter, grill and M Performance badges for me for my car. I still am sitting at 111 so should be no problem. I will let you guys know the pricing when I get it.

I am curious if they give you a credit for the original steering wheel...

I don't believe you'll get a credit for the steering wheel, but you can for other things, like wheels.

My order is in the same boat. I added everything except the steering wheel. I already have pricing and am debating going through BMW and having VPC installation or just sourcing the parts and doing it myself.

I would hope we at least GET our original wheel. I am pretty sure I could sell it to someone who bought a X or Luxury Line one.

I have an xDrive 35i being delivered at the end of March, and was pretty pumped to see the Power Kit available for the F15. I contacted my CA to add it to my order as a VDC installed accessory as described in the press release.

My CA initially didn't know much about it, but after a bit of back and forth, she came back to me with an answer today. Apparently the regional accessories rep told her today that these accessories have been discontinued!

WTF? Discontinued a week after the parts were announced? It seems strange, but I can't think of a reason why she wouldn't be telling me the truth, or at least relaying the information to me as it was relayed to her.

Has anyone been successful in ordering from this range (especially the Power Kit), or have any information on what's going on with this?

where is the picture of the rear spoiler? That is one thing I haven't seen on the F15's that I miss from the previous X5 model. I think it will add alot to the vehicle

They are not discontinued. They are just not available yet for individual or VPC order. BMW has this habit of announcing things way ahead of actual availability.

I haven't seen an actual picture, but it's there. It's pretty small and anemic. More of a lip than a spoiler.

Pretty disappointed that bmw is releasing this info and then saying its not available! My car should be arriving any day now. Does anyone know if I can upgrade the performance package once I have it? Also, I noticed a few cars with black grills, where do we get those?

Thanks

All of this is available after delivery, including the performance package. When is anyone's guess.

Black grilles are available for cars without night vision.

These parts Were actually presented 3 months before This thread Was Even started. Black grille and cf Mirrors Are the only parts availsble at themoment. I Will Also Order the rear spoiler, but the sticking out spoiler at the bottom just gatjer mud and Snow and Are Subaru WRX style imho. Also the side skirts Are a failire as They make the Car Look actually Like the basic Car With unpainted side skirts, the Black part should not extend To the bottom. Hope I Can get the Future X5M Black grille as There is Nothing available for me as I have night vision. Thanks BMW.

So does that mean for those that lease, you will have to pay out of pocket and not be able to residualize?

And for those that buy, you cannot put it into car loan - but have to pay later when it's available?

If so, that's a high price of early adoption...

Yep- with the way these are selling... I don't think BMW is worried about pushing sales forward.
