Missing rear bumper piece cover - stolen?!

I noticed this missing rear bumper cover missing. I did some research and it looks like this gets stolen often since you can only buy it unpainted. Is that true? Find it hard to believe but upsetting someone would steal it. I doubt it just fell off while driving. The other side is still there so it’s just on one side.

Can someone please provide the part number and the best place to buy it painted?

I had the front tow hook cover stolen and didn?t find a place that sold them pre-painted so I ordered a rattle can of color-coded Carbon Black along with a can of clear and did it myself. Turned out perfect since it?s such a small part.
You could always bring it to a shop, but they might charge you some min amt.

Thanks. Not sure how I would paint the metallic but I could try. Do you have a part number for my missing part? I could not seem to find it.

Thanks in advance.

The touch up paint you order is an exact match because you select the paint code. Looks like you have Mineral White (A96)? Or is it Alpine?

I'm so sorry. Stealing parts on cars is, sadly, becoming commonplace.

Our brand new, 1 week old, 2017 G63 was parked at LAX (airport) in prime $30/day parking. It was there 4 days. We came out and someone had stolen 1 rear taillamp and both LED daytime running lights and surrounds on the headlight. They had begun to take off the screws that hold the bi-xenon lights. Thank god they did not get the headlights...the MBZ dealer said that thieves just cut the wires. The wiring harness has to be redone and it is a 3-4 week job!

But...one taillamp, 2 headlight LEDs and the front brush guard had to be replaced (thieves scratched it) and painting of both headlight surrounds...$9000.00!!!!!

Thanks. It’s Mineral White. Since I’m in the US any recommendation on where to purchase?

I know someone else mentioned to purchase it from the dealership.. I will have to give them a call but figured it’s over $100 that way.

Not sure what you mean. The part is available via any dealer. A quick Google shows ECS has it for $26.
I ordered the paint through AutomotiveTouchUp.com. Again, your paint code is A96.
Check IND like another person said to see if they?ll paint one for you.

Thanks, reached out to IND and it was $118 shipped painted so may try and paint it myself.

Regarding the rattle cans, you think touch paint would work or you bought the spray can for both mineral white and clear? Or touch-up paint and buy the clear coat can? I think it would come out to saving $40-50 then getting it from IND roughly. I appreciate the help!

Buy both a can of Mineral White and Clear. Again, the part is so small that painting it yourself will be easy.
Remember, prep and patience are key. Clean the part thoroughly, do not us bare fingers to handle it afterward, and apply multiple thin coats, waiting in between. I covered the part with a box to prevent any dust, etc. to stick to it when the paint was still wet.
Good luck and post result pics.

Unbelievable! It's probably the same people lurking in the parking lots all the time. 9k...
