ebay seller autowineu- shady ebayer..

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, did a quick search before posting.
Long term BMW owner, but new to the SAV's and my X5.

Anyway, I decided as one of my first upgrades, to change out the side mirrors to the wide angle version

I had a bad experience with order from Eastern Europe in the past, and I decided to order from the Ebay seller "autowineu" who claimed "item location Köln, Germany". Their feedback is mostly good!
So by buying from autowineu, I paid a bit more than for the mirrors that showed as shipping from one of the Baltic states/ "Eastern Europe".

Anyway, mirrors arrived.
*One had a small deep scratch.
*They were not stamped BMW as the pictures in the ad showed and claimed to show as product being shipped. (Though they are Gentex brand, which supplies the mirrors to BMW I believe)
*They lied about item location.

So I contacted the seller to complain, and they only addressed the shipping location, saying I should not worry about it, because they ship out of 3 locations in Europe. (to me claiming item location Köln, is a bait and switch)
I did say I could live with the small scratch, but I was not happy with it. They chose to not even acknowledge this issue.

When I contacted them again, saying I was not satisfied with their reply, they now claimed they have shipped me two pairs, and that I need to return both pairs for a refund! I have asked them to explain this bs about two pairs, and they have so far not replied.

I plan to escalate this with Ebay, but until then, since autowineu didn't show up in a search, I figured I would warn others!

I will update the post if anything changes, but for now I would advise against buying from them.

I also got f**** over by these bastards. They claim they sent me a drivers side authentic mirror and provided me a new tracking number and didn't want the mirror they sent me back. So now I wait another month. This is the location from where it's coming from and there website.

Report it to eBay and demand a refund. You received the incorrect goods and the seller lied to you about location.

Yes that's correct. I purchased stuff off there site in the past before I saw them on eBay and I had no problem. But it's not cool to show pictures of items and u get something totally different.

What's totally not cool, is to misrepresent and then on top of it claim they sent me two sets, demanding I return two sets, to get a refund!

I replied asking them about their claim, and they have had plenty of time to reply, but have chosen to ignore it.
So I'm taking it up with Ebay, and I have also filed a complaint about misleading buyers about shipping location.

All this could have been avoided by not sending me a slightly scratched mirror, and I could have moved on and ignored the rest.
Now I'm not!

What side mirror is scratched. I have the drivers side that's in mint condition. Not a mark. Just waiting on the OEM replacement. Glad you reported them. I also did the same.

I get the mirror from them on April 06, 2017. They send me one with wide angle, one without wide angle. I send the message to them, no response. I send them one more message saying if you do not replay me back within 24 hours. I am going to return the package to them. They send me the message saying they are going to mail me another one.

Package arrived today with the OEM mirror that I originally paid for. Glad they pulled through. If anyone is interested in my aftermarket drivers side mirror it's up for sale and works perfectly.

I initiated a return and DHL has contacted me for pick up!
But they have so far refused to tell me if they are still demanding two sets back from me, despite only shipping one set.
Also no response if they indeed are covering the return shipping, or not. (don't want to see a refund minus shipping charges)
For now I'm holding off sending the one set back, until they reply to messages on ebay.

Don't send anything back until u receive something from them. They usually respond with in 2 days. Not sure if this is the same vendor I have been dealing with considering different locations. I am sure they will do something for u now that eBay is involved.

I used them to get euro mirrors. One was non oem so I took pics And they sent me another one. Both from Lithuania. Perfect condition

So, the saga continues..

I spoke to Ebay about the two sets issue, and they guaranteed that I will get my refund, even if seller keeps claiming they sent two sets etc.

So today, I went to print the return label, and documents are scanned to PDF in such a way, that the left side is missing and label is not complete...

Still no reply from the seller in regards to my questions, they are ignoring me!
I just messaged them again, asking them to send me complete documents that can be printed..

Have to see if they respond this time, but I kind of doubt it...

Totally agree, and I'm working on getting Ebay to scrutinize this seller...

I just spoke to Ebay again, since the seller refuses to reply to me!
Ebay is going to contact them and request that they send me a new complete shipping label. They also added 5 days to get it resolved, instead of considering it not returned if not shipped by tomorrow.

I also reiterated the issues with the "lying about the ship from location", and she said if I filed a complaint, they are looking into it. I'm hoping that is the case!

Btw, the seller autowineu, is also selling under the name "audi-parts-shop", while claiming to ship from Germany I noticed today...

Anyway, the next thing is to have friends overseas find out the cost to order an OEM set, and hopefully solve the issue this way.
(My friendly dealership parts guy said it doesn't look like he can get them..)

Sort of update!

I'm still waiting on a reply from the seller, with a new complete and printable return shipping label. autowineu has not replied to me though, and if I see anything I have a feeling it will be last minute, to screw with me. I have already talked to Ebay about it, so they know...

My new solution is to pick up a pair of OEM's, order from a dealership in Europe, and bring back with me in November.
Looks like it will be around $300/pair. Still working on it...

If there are any owners in MI reading this, who are interested, I could bring back a couple extra sets.
I'm bringing my nephew a Lego Apollo Saturn V rocket and will have some space in my bag on the way home!
I'm not looking to make money etc. on it, and I doubt a couple extra sets will be an issue to bring with me.
