Close to buying a CPO X5 50i have a few ?’s

Has anyone added either a factory or aftermarket trailer hitch and trailer wiring? I have a boat I tow and I am somewhat worried about the complexity of adding a hitch and wiring harness. Do the aftermarket hitches clear the m sport rear bumper? Any other issues I should be aware of on these vehicles?

The bumper cover has to be removed, but many have done it themselves. I opted for the oem hitch installed by my dealer. Invisihitch is the DIY option of choice.

Coding is the issue. Mine was at dealer service for two days extra just for reprogramming

Invisihitch supposedly provides remote coding for the OEM harness with purchase.

Due to the complexity of the programming or did this include install of the hitch as well?
