Yes. Very much so. The output of light is brighter, wider spread, whiter, and totally makes seeing In the dark easier. The anti-dazzle I had coded works amazing too. Plus, they look awesome

Go for it. You won't be disappointed, ever. One of those things you must have now. Next step - lasers (cough, i8).

In Europe anti-dazzle (high beam) works also on adaptive xenons the same way as on LEDs. However, in the US many options seem bundled together and you cannot order adaptive/high beam without LEDs. Odd. Even if you order LEDs you will not get smart high beam like in the EU models but only a simple high/low beam switch (you will have to code). That's even more odd (legal reqs). But you are in Mexico, maybe things follow common sense more closely there?

I've seen it mentioned several times already. What exactly is anti-dazzle?

Yes it can be coded.

For the OP, very much worth it in my opinion... Xenon lights are old technology now... and the reason why all the common cars now use xenons...
LED is the future and as someone suggested earlier Laser in the near future..

I added them on my 2014 535 and haven't regretted it for 1 second. I coded them for the variable light distribution on the low beams. This raises the headlights up a tad and moves the left headlight more to the left to lay down a broad beam pattern for your low beams. The anti dazzle is great when running your high beams. On either setting no one is blinded and I've never had anyone flash their high beams at me. Just ordered a 2015 X5D and the wife demanded the LED's in hers after driving my car.

Pretty much in the minority here, but it really comes down to your budget. Are you cost constrained and watching what you spend very tightly? Or are you open to some extra cost to get the primo pkg?

That being said, the LED's are a nice-to-have. They are to the modern car what the Xenon lights were 5 or 10 years ago. Absolutely a great feature, and one that I'm sure you'll love if you choose to get them. But, on the flip side, you're not going to spend the next 5 years hating your X5 just because you didn't get them. Plus, if you are primarily driving on well-lit city streets, or do most of your driving during the day, then you're unlikely to notice much difference.

Either way, enjoy the new truck!

As everyone has said, get it. The LED brightness output itself is brighter than Xenon. The adaptive lighting and the ability to code the anti-dazzle is just another plus. If I could go back, I would have gotten LED Lighting Package.

Comparing LED of F15 to Xenon of M3 E92 I found LED inferior to xenon lights.

LEDs have some dark spots in their beam and even though they are brighter I think they light the road less effectively.

Xenons are not that bright as we are talking about light temperature but to me they give more light and have very uniform beam.

Haven't checked xenons on F15 but the only reason I have LED on my X5 is that I could never stand regular light bulb of the indicators that come with xenons on F15. Come on BMW, it is 2014!

Kip1, posted ( may also started that thread) where an evaluation of LED /Xenons by bild German car mag that deemed Xenons better, unsure if it was in all categories.
I think it was in terms of effectiveness ( i.e. brightness and distance)

I'm considering this. Aren't there other prerequisites to code for this besides having the LED lights? If I'm not mistaken, the X5 also needs the "Night Vision w/Pedestrian Detection" package to code for the European anti-dazzle feature, which also means no fog lights. Or is it the "ACC Stop and Go" option? I would like to hear from someone who has coded this on an X5 in the US. If I plan on coding for this, what are the required options that need to already be on the car to do this?
