Trouble installing MPPK

Took to the dealer to install MPPK yesterday, they could not install it, because of gearshift error.

They are going to continue today. Has anybody who has MPPK installed encountered this? They told me it was very common.

First time ever hearing this issue. Dealer installed mine without any hiccup at all.

Mine went without hiccup.

Who knows there could have been a fault in your tranny or computer that would not have shown up till the update.

Doubt it has to do with coding because there are members here who have coding done and still be able to get software updates at the dealer (wiping out all coding) without any issues.

Working for a software company, I'll tell you that downloads/installs are not a perfect science. Unfortunately, it's on a $70k car and not a $500 ipad. But, it's usually corrected with an un-install and re-install.

I had to return due to an engine warning light which stayed on, they also had Some trouble with the software but the next day they fixed it. Drives perfect now, I like it very much

dealer is going to replace gearshift module, the part is coming from Germany, 10-15 days wait.

I was told, they were unable to program MPPK due to faulty gearshift module.

Do you get your car in the meantime?

Did it throw a code before they started to install the MPPK? It's strange if a code didn't appear.

There was no error code

. I got a 320 loaner for now

.I will call them tomorrow for more details.

It is confusing, I thought it had something to do with coding, the original steering wheel did not have shifter, I replaced it with m-sport wheel and coded so the shifters on the new wheel worked as well. I don't know what to think.

Yes, because they have to reset the module to the new option installed to the car.

Just took my car from dealer, now I have to wait until the new gearshift module arrives from Germany.

. Here is the interesting part, most of coding is gone, but I noticed at least one coded feature is still remaining

, how is that possible?

Do you notice any difference in performance between stock and MPPK?

Sure do, it is quit noticeable, I like it. I also got m-sport gearshifter for free, mine was just a regular one. They replaced it because there was a gearshift module error while installing MPPK.

I'm still waiting for dealer to install mine after they failed to do so. I've been driving around for a few days stock but hopefully will feel difference. What is different?

It is more responsive, the sound is better, also my is luxury line so I did not have sport+ mode now I have it. What was the error on your car?
