blue tooth turning off when in reverse

Hello Everyone,

When I start the car, Bluetooth connects, but if I call someone, and go to reverse, it drops off. Is that normal?

Sometimes it re-connects, others I have to pull over and park to pair.

Yes - I have updated the software to most current.

Mine works fine, and doesnt disconnect. The only thing it does is the backup sensors "chime" over the voice of the call.

Are you sure it is not just the beep signals being too loud. They mute the music/BT a little. Yours might just be too much. You can set the volume while it is beeping with the volume adjustment. I cant 100% remember if you can set the mute level in sound options...Check that too-

Nope - jump in car, start, make call and if I back up, it disconnects. Weird and frustrating. I have updated software too as noted.

Try the BT with another phone. Only then can you be 100% sure itis the car. What phone? I have had BT issues with older Nokias.

I experience a different issue! My BT works fine with iPhone 6Plus, however, EVERY TIME when i make siri to place a FaceTime call, BT disconnects. If i initiate the same call via phone itself, all works fine!

This is really strange, how does backing up disable bluetooth? It's like "black milk" dream from "Analyze This".

Keep us posted.
And no, don't give up on Windows Mobile, if needed try a different WM phone.

Connected iPhone today. Started a call, backed up with camera on and click - Bluetooth gone....

Frustrating...

I will try later on wife's car. If it happens, I'd say it's an overzealous security/safety feature.

I've been able to back up while on the phone. Today I was actually mentioning to my lady friend, while on the phone, that the x5 was a bit harder to reverse the car into the garage than my Acura.

Happened to me twice this week, but I could not replicate it when I tried to video it. Bluetooth disconnected and then reconnected, going to the first song (alpha sort) in the phone upon reconnect.

Which one? The Bluetooth in the 830 is notoriously spooky. No problems in other Lumia phones I've tried. Currently using a 640 with no issues, but I doubt I've backed up while on the phone, so I'll have to try that.
