MPPK install

Hey guys... Went to the dealership to take delivery and they couldn't release the car because a drivetrain error fault code kept tripping after the MPPK install. Unfortunately I'm in a loaner instead of my new F15...

Anybody else experience this???

It's a super cool dealership and I oddly trust them. But it still sucks because I waited around for almost three hours... Then was told the code tripped for a second time.

Nope never had an issue with ours with the MPPK. We've had it now for 6 months & 14,000kms

Sounds like I need to send some forum members their way!

I'm confident it will be resolved... It just sucks especially because the dealership is 20 miles away (1.5 hours in Chicago terms).

They could not install MPPK on mine too, there was an error : gearshift module. They ordered from Germany, took it today, still there until tomorrow. So hopefully we will get our cars tomorrow with MPPK installed.

If they have to order mine from Germany... it better be put on a United flight from Frankfurt to O'Hare instead of taking three weeks. I'll be one pissed off mofo.

Not sure what's worse. Taking delivery of vehicle and dealer forgetting to put it in (like mine) or this. Regardless, both are a big letdown.

They were supposed to start on Saturday and I had an appointment set to pick it up today at 9:30am. I received a call at 9am saying its not ready as it's still downloading. (this after already being in rush hour traffic). I honestly did appreciate the call as a heads up. Then at 11:30a they said they were waiting for an airbox to come in and it would be a bit.
I got the all clear to come in around 1pm and I got through the credit portion really fast. Long story short... I was in a loaner at 5:15.

You stay away from after market tunes to avoid fault codes and errors....

Buy a BMW tune to get a drivetrain error haha ironic. I'll keep my laughs to myself since I plan on getting the MPPK as well.

I have to drop off car tomorrow so they can verify Mppk not installed. The sports display shows 320 where should be 400 I think. It's just a nuisance but everything will be sorted out.

Airbox? Thats a big WTF right there because for the F15 MPPK it doesn't come with any airbox. Its just the software only unlike the MPPK for the 3/4 series that comes with an intake and engine cover.

That's exactly what I said. The CA said that there was an argument between guys in the parts/service department whether it's even needed/available.

I told them that the only thing that comes in the box are the side rocker stickers, under hood plate and download code.

That is right, MPPK is just an envelope with stickers , instructions and password to download software.

I got my car today, MPPK installed and the new gearshifter Installed, they installed m-sport gearshifter though I had a regular one, no charge

. I think they updated the software as well, some of the coding is gone

, I also got sport+ mode now which I did not have before. The car drive better, noticeably better. NO REGRETS, for $1,250 I got new m-sport shifter and MPPK.

is the MPPK for x30d also just software only? from the bulliten it seems MPPK needs ecu, brake upgrade & air box...

Is this true it should show 400? I have a 35i and the MPPK was supposed to be installed at the factory before getting shipped overseas. My display still shows 320 on both gauges.

Can anyone confirm if it should display 400?

Its confirmed from my dealership after a scan, It was NOT installed.! From what I was told, the MPPK is done at the dealership. Now I have to go back in to get it installed..
I wonder how many people are driving around thinking they have MPPK, and they dont. !!!!

Is this is a dealer scam? Its $1500 Canadian and dealer cost is $1150. I wonder if they say its installed and don't do it...to make that extra profit. hmmm Just saying.,..,

It should absolutely read 400 max on both hp and torque. They should also include a badge under the hood.

I'll be making a trip to the dealer ASAP.
