My 35i X5destroyer Bms Jb4,intake,catless Dp, Muffler Delete

[B]So I recently got my 2017 BMW X5 35I M-sport in carbon black with ivory white interior with the full light package 20'' black 5 spoke m sport rims and all the good stuff..
Recently tinted all windows including windshield
Put the H&R spacers 20mm on the rear wheels
Covered the reflectors
Painted the exhaust tips gloss black
Painted roof rails gloss black
Had a BMS JB4 & BMS INTAKE installed
Had a straight pipe muffler delete done

Now the car is currently at the shop having all of these parts installed:

Spring set lowering the car 1 1/2 inches
installing CATLESS DOWNPIPE

-Installing full carbon fiber M sport parts-
Front splitter
Front black kidney grille
Rear diffuser
Rear flaps
Rear spoiler
Side decal rocker panels
Alcantara m sport steering wheel
Stainless pedals
and having the shop install a motorized license plate folder

How much faster will my car be with the catless downpipe in addition to the JB4 & INTAKE?
What map would you suggest using with these mods as well?
Can anyone recommend anything else to improve performance?

So did you just drop the car off at a shop and tell them to "do everything"? If you've never heard a car with a cat-less DP, straight pipes, and no muffler, you're in for a rude awakening. Soooo out of place on an X5 IMO. On the 135i that likes to engine brake while driving in my neighborhood... maybe.

With exception of your 35i and my 35d, sounds like we have nearly identical builds... Congrats. Post some vids/pics when you get a chance, would like to see how she looks with 20mm in the back and everything else you've done. Muffler delete would sure make taking my seven year old to soccer games a whole lot more interesting...

Any suspension work?

Straight pipes are loud. Not sure how bad it will be with the 6 cylinder but I wouldn't want them on any car I plan to drive on a daily basis. Longer highway drives with straight pipes are the worst though pulling out of a quiet residential neighborhood early in the AM with your pipes screaming is a close second.

Are tinted windshields legal in the northeast?

it sounds like it will look killer but i stayed away from most of your power mods because the car is a pig, its heavy and to get it to move you either opt to 50i or go with pure turbos

coming from G55 AMG and f80 m3 i have very hard time getting used to the power or lack there of... i do enjoy the luxury and soft ride of this generation.

And tints are illegal but hey so is most of the stuff under the hood right?

Passing emissions and states in NY is easy. All you need is a shop that you frequent that knows you're not going to report them, you'll pass.


Anyways OP, I think it'll sound great, but you'll go crazy on any road trips. Though I have to ask why you got the 35i if you want performance, you didn't opt for the at least the 50i?
