symles, not sure how I am avoiding answering simple questions.

The repair is not covered under warranty because dealer says someone added the coolant voiding the warranty.

With regard to the specifics of the repair, I only received it after the insurance appraisal. 14+ hours of labor and $4K+ in parts. Replacing of SCR active and passive reservoirs, metering units and lines, pump unit and 2 sensors (temperature, NO2).

There's no need to replace them. The coolant (or whatever mix you got there) can be flushed out, and it used to be a standard procedure included in the free BMW diesel maintenance.

14 hrs of labor even @$200/hr and $4k in parts don't total $10k.

See how your story doesn't add up?
