Nope , you dont have any problem with paint . Black X looks like it coated with something like "liquid glass "

Check out my thread' awful service from BMW park lane' the paint on the rear bumper has been mopped according to my local dealer, it's burnt the laquer in certain parts of the bumper mainly the curved protrusion where someone has
Pressed down too hard. When you look at the bumper it looks grey on the edges and carbon black in other parts. I've had several x5's and I know the bumpers don't always match but this car doesn't even have a bumper that matches with itself as the drivers side is fine!!

Best thing you can do bro is to take it to a good body shop that knows their stuff about colors/paint. They will be able to tell you for sure how much of a mismatch there really is. I know a guy in my area that has years of experience, he knows just by looking at paint whether or not it's been in an accident/reapplied/coated etc. You just need one of those types to take a look.

Don't think it impacts the discussion but wanted to point out anyway, I'm pretty sure that last pic is imperial blue not carbon black, which (at least in the US) not available on a no-line car..

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing - good eye. It def doesn't look the same as the top pics - which are more relevant because the OP has matching fenders, while that X-Line does not. Some people mislabel colors in google search

Carbon black has being around ages. It was always a M exclusive color but has trickled down to the M-sport range now. Its generally a very nice color, but the way it can age can be problematic. It does take some attention to keep it looking good. It always had issues with swirls.

If you're leasing then it won't matter.

Carbon black is not available on a no-line car. M sport only. You can tell that pic is a no line by the wheels and round tail pipes, neither of which would be on an m sport.

Your car looks perfect, esp the interior! Seriously, after looking at your aluminum trim, anthracite top liner, and Bang & Olufsen system, I regret not pre-ordering mine with those features. Hope you're enjoying it, buddy!
