The new owner of the car apparently lives in Sterling, VA, and it has undergone a complete overhaul. I am currently on Facebook trying to see if he still owns it.

Second, his shop is as reputable as they come - yes they pump out Liberty Walk stuff, but it's the actual LW stuff... You know it's to the point they leave their cars with him?

Darren Yoo allegedly reps Vollkommen not LTMW... If you are going to blast someone on the Internet, please double check before doing so... The guy in the article you link even thanks Long Tran for helping him and doing what he can to assist...

Lastly, LT is even a mod on these forums... The things he has done for the bmw community let alone car community are astounding... So if you did know who he was, you may want to send him a PM next time before smearing his name with incorrect info... Just a suggestion...

Darren owns Volkommen, and is a one man operation that runs itself out of LTMW, physically. I've been around these forums longer than you think, and am familiar with the name. Mainly, when they were LTBMW.

You also may want to double check who you're backing and the quality of the work. I understand that they have a cult following in the BMW world, and maybe some of this is just rushed work to prepare Darren's cars for the many shows that they are a part of; however, some things are unacceptable, including Darren's response to the new owner when attempting to mend things.

Long Tran is a great guy, very friendly and always willing to try and help; my post was not to discredit him. I have yet to see a modified BMW on the west coast that has not received his touch. However, everyone makes mistakes, and this is certainly one of them.
