Price to install MPBK
Just curious on the cost to install, my dealer quoted $1200 which is 8 hours of labor which I think is ridiculous. I told him 4 hours should be enough but they are not willing to budge.

Yeah I edited my post after I read your original post again. They would still be able to install the brakes for you.

While I have been working with redline on an install quote, BMW Freehold called back and said their $1200 quote was to low. In order to install the MPBK they have to replace the brake guard which is held on by the hub bearings. When they remove the hub bearings they cannot be reused according to Freehold as they are somehow installed using some type of pressure and removing them ruins their functionality. So according to Freehold they also have to replace the bearings.
Has anyone ever run into this issue with the MPBK and the bearings Or is Freehold blowing a bunch of stealership smoke? |
