Just got some keychains and a tank of gas after purchasing my new X5 last week. I am getting some clients for my business though from them.

that's a good one. How do you guys normally purchase your cars anyway? I know it sounds like a stupid question, but in Singapore, taking out a bank loan to purchase a car is a common occurrence. The loan tenure can stretch up to 5 years, and just 2 years ago, prior to the rule change, it is quite common for buyers to take out a 10 year loan for a car purchase. I reckon in situations like these, BMW *and* the bank should be sending the buyer a truckload of car goodies for every purchase!

Note to self: In order to make it big in Singapore, send my bank chocolate chip cookies and milk every year . 10 year loan on cars.... I wonder what the loan on a house looks like.... .

BMW rewards card thingy, which as others have noted, seems worthless. A month or two after purchase they also sent us a fancy looking pen. My local dealer also throws in an annual subscription to BMW magazine.

When we got our '11 X3 they sent me the USB thumb drive with manual, videos, etc and later we got a poster of the original X3 concept.

But the poster is your anniversary gift so I wouldn't expect that for another 5 or so months in our case...

10 years??? OMG - on a car? At an interest rate of only 3%, you would pay an additional $10,700 in interest on a $68,000 (more than $14,500 interest cost at 4% money) car and you would be upside-down probably through month 90.

At purchase, I got a coffee cup (aluminum insulated type), an i8 mousepad, a dealer keychain, and a little BMW diary-style notebook.

Nothing from BMWUSA yet after purchase.

Ah, I guess they thought ahead and gave you necessary accessories in case your wife temporarily kicked you out of the house for spending more time with your X5 than her . Just kidding!

This has almost happened to many members due to the coding thread, haha .

@[Gilly1964], Makes me feel better, not just me then . . . I wouldn't mind but my company probably spent the better part of £170k with BMW on my F15, an i3, an M135 and two 1 series, all through the same dealer in about 4 months !!

And it was a GOOD deal at that ! I reckon fair's fair - if I lived elsewhere in the world, I'd be royally pissed off paying Singapore's asking prices. But, since I live and make my living in Singapore, it's stands to reason that I contribute back to the economy in the country where I make my living. More than 200-300% of the car's costs are in the form of taxes the government imposes to keep a rein on the car population on our 700sqkm-sized country.

Oh, and one last "gift" that I got from the salesperson - she sends her assistant to pick up our cars whenever we need servicing or have a warranty claim or the likes, and after the cars are done, the assistant drops them back at the house. This has been going on for every car purchased, for the past what, 8-10 years. It's an extra mile thingee - and it keeps me interested in the BMW brand.

Wobbles , that's the service you get in SE Asia.
But, unlike where I'm from, Indonesia, they do offer that service also. But, I won't trust them to take joyride on the car.

I hear ya, r33! I do keep an eye on the trip meter, but by & large, I have come to trust the lady that does the pick up/drop off (it's always the same person anyway).

I also forgot to mention that I received the cargo-bay and floor mats from BMW.

BUT, I reckon the most important gift BMW sent me was the pure driving pleasure I got, from driving the car itself
