Can you guys help me? My X5 has this feature but recently the driver side has gone bad. I was wondering if you guys might be able to assist me in getting mines fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How did this go? I'm about to buy the same kit for my F15. I wanted to know a couple of things and hoping others can chime in.

1. Plug and play, will the kit already know my key fob and there is literally nothing else to do, besides installation?
2. How difficult is the installation?
3. Was their instructions for the installation specifically for the F15/X5?
4. Any issues or challenges that I should know about?

Does it continually lock and unlock the car when washing it like the factory version does?

I had comfort access on two previous BMWs but not the X5. It's definitely a nice feature to have and I missed it more than I thought I would. Hard to say if I would go to the effort if retrofitting it, but hats off to bimmertech for even making it possible.

I’m close to bitting the bullet and buying but I need to know the installation process. More specifically for the X5 F15 models. I watched the whole hour video on the install on the 3 series but surely it’s not going to be the exact same with the wiring and harnesses. Even more so for myself because I have a RHD whereas the video in LHD.

Got a lot of questions and need clarification.

Just ordered a retrofit for comfort access. I’ve been waiting for one for a while. Can’t wait. I know it’s first world problems, but I want to stop pulling my fob out of my pocket to unlock my door. 😅
