Question about M Performance LED Door Sills

Hi, I bought a set of LED sills that light up when you open the door and tried to install them. First, when I opened the box one of them was barely on, so I figured the batteries went dead, so I went ahead and replaced all 4 (2 per sill).

When I replaced the batteries the part lit up fine. I then tested both sills with enclosed magnets to see how they turn off and when I did that, the light goes off, but doesn't come back on when I remove the magnet. This happens on both sills, so I wonder if anybody knows what is going on with these things or am I doing something wrong?

The only way to have it come back on is to remove and reinstall the batteries.

Maybe the magnets aren't lined up properly. I read that they're the hardest part of the install. Simply aligning them. A bit of trial and error

The thing is, I expected the sills to be on, unless a magnet is positioned against it, but after the first time I put a magnet on it, it never comes back on.

Update: I figured it out. The light won't stay on indefinitely, it goes out after exactly 30 seconds if the door is open.

I also had to loosen up a bit the flaps that cover the batteries so they hang freely instead of being pushed tight into their seats. Now when I hover a magnet over the sill it comes out and back on when the magnet is removed. Also the diagram of where the magnet has to be placed is fairly accurate, I was able to just place it without any further need to adjust.

Sweet. Glad you got it figured out. Still haven't gotten around to installing mine. Hopefully tomorrow.

Are you pleased with look? Trying to decide if I want them, had them on our two Infiniti's and loved the look. Those were tied into the car's wiring and not battery though.
