It seems to be the same part number as this one, which fits my F15 great.

I just wish it fit the X5 windshield fully. Some decent gaps around all edges. Clearly not made for the F15 X5. But still a quality product and reduces heat significantly coupled with my ceramic tint

I don't see any point of those big BMW letters on a sunshield. How about BMW then a smaller M3 and $80,000 for the status of it all |

This is the one we use.
They will stay up without putting the visor's down. We have been using them for a longtime and will not be without one in any of our cars... https://www.heatshieldstore.com/sun_...or/bmw/x5/2014

You just roll it up and put it in the backseat. It has a Velcro strip/strap that holds it.

Hmmm so doesn't it start to 'roll back' on the windshield after a couple months of use?

Not really. It will a little bit, but not bad at all.

We had a "roll up" one for our Infiniti G37 and it was a royal PIA ... we hardly ever used it because of that. Go with the fold up, they are sturdier and stay up better and are a lot less of a hassle to put away.

Do you guys believe that this scratch was put on my car deliberately because of the sunshade I keep in the car...? Has that been something any of you habe experienced? Just a little background, my car stays stationary in the same spot about 85% of the week most of the year because I use my bike for commuting most the time as long as there is low to no chance of precipitation with 40 degrees Fahrenheit in the north east. Currently living in a private community with very wide streets and residents have to display parking passes or risk being towed without one.

The fact that the area on your car that is scratched is contoured or bowed out makes me think maybe. Something going by (like a car or bicycle, etc.) parallel to the car you would expect the scratch to be only on the section that sticks out closest to the road (or item doing the damage), the fact its scratched all along the contoured surface makes me think it had to be something that was able to adjust it's depth ....... like an arm.
