I am glad he didn't kill anyone else. Speed limit is 50, if anyone is wondering.

I'm thinking about that question . . . I'll get back to you on it

Update:
the only thing I could come up with in answer to that question is to ask this: If a bear shits in the woods ...
And there's nobody there to smell it, does it still stink ???

The same as any other car; OH F@CK!

I hit top speed in the M4 when we did the Euro Delivery.....the world is going by awful fast at >150MPH.

Check this out; deer hit at 140 on Autobahn.

But...animal impacts can be deadly at nearly any speed given the right animal. Here in Colorado, we've got elk, bears and cows to contend with also. Yes cows. Many public lands here allow free range cattle. Cottonwood Creek Pass on the Crested Butte side is one of my favorite winding roads here. 35 MPH speed limit and I've come around many a blind corner to find several cows standing in the road. Not so worried about bears, but elk will also just hang out in the middle of the road or just to the side of it.

Everytime you drive you are taking some kind of risk. For me it all comes down to risk vs benefit. I love to push hard, but typically know the road I'm on and have clear line of sight when I'm really pushing it. Been doing this for 30 or so years now with no accidents, so working out for me, but I'm sure there are many that I've blown by in traffic that think I'm an ass even though they are doing 10 under and I'm only doing 10 over.

Agree. I have very similar driving style, only I don't have yet 30 years of driving experience. Congrats on M4 - beautiful car - saw it in dealership when I was buying my 50i. Interesting to put them head to head - I bet I can walk you in your M4 - we have very similar 0-60 (mine is around 3.9sec after a benchflash) but it's AWD, so anything is possible

That's what all flashed 5.0i folks think until they watch one pull away.

You just might, really would come down to traction most likely.
