iPhone 4/4s possibilities in the new F15?

Does someone know whether snap in adapter (one that supports video) will be purchaseable for the F15? I am told that iPhone 5 does not have "video out", therefore one cannot use it to display video on the idrive navi screen. So if I stick with iPhone 4 I would be able to display videos? About to order the car, like the video option and need to replace my phone asap (I can still get a new iPhone4s). Please help if you know something about this. Thanks.

You can use a snap in adapter from an E70 in an F15. I guess other phones than iPhone have video out so I would guess it's implemented in the F15 so it should probable work

Thank you, I actually own a E71 adapter from the X6, but looks like it will work. That is what I wanted to hear.

I wouldn't bank on it. Video out used a analog video interface from the cradle to the CIC in the past.

There's being significant changes since those days and the CIC has evolved. I don't even know if plugin is even supported on the apps platform on the f15.

Yeah, you could be right there. Plugin should be there saw it in the f10 i recently drove (loaner) with the newest navi. Unfort was not able to check with snap-in.

Thanks for your feedback.

tested iphone 4/4s snap in adapter yesterday

I tested media snap in adapter from X6 and it works perfectly except for VIDEO. There is room below playlist feature and other MEDIA folder, but sadly that contains only books to be read and podcasts to be heard. I do think that it could be possible if someone codes it. NAVI screen is really big and picture very clear, so it would be nice to be able to watch something in the car while waiting in the car, or similar situations.

You are right, it does not support video.

Media snap-in works fine (from E71). Unfortunately, all works but video. Hope to able to get that unlocked/coded.
