Question Tire pressure 36 front 43 back?

I just measured the X5 tire pressure this morning. The front ones are at ~ 36 psi and back ~ 43. Is the tire pressure supposed to be so different between the front and back? Thanks!

Do you have staggered tires? If so, yes. Check the door sills for max. tire pressure.

Yes, and even without the staggered tires. Check page 212 of the owners manual. Assuming you have standard 19" tires, they are supposed to be 36 front and 44 rear. There are quite a few different configurations based on tire size and vehicle, but with all of them the rears are much higher pressure than the fronts.
