B&O system acting up!

So don't get me wrong the sound quality and look of the B&O system is great! I have had the car since December. Just the passed 3 weeks I have noticed the volume sometimes will only go 3/4 of the way up. I figured it may be that the amp was getting too hot and went into a safety mode. Now this morning I get in the car and after having the volume at about 25% an amazing song came on XMs utopia! So I go to turn it up and.... Stops at about 70%... Kinda disappointed in this. 4500 for a system that won't get loud when you want it to is not amusing me. Has anyone else had this issue?

Had the same issue, posted, got zero response. It came back to life after about 20 min. Battery should not be an issue on a couple of moths old car, I hope.

Wow. I wanted to call my dealer but i know they are going to keep the car for weeks to diagnose the issue and not be able to recreate the problem... they already replaced the alternator and the instrument panel for another issue... Maybe time to trade in already for an M4? LOL

Oh!

That sucks! I love the B&O system and works great for me!

Have the SA reset your vehicle to factory settings again.. That might work...

I will have them replace the "bass" or speaker in te middle of the dashboard because it sounds bad... Thought the speakers wouldn't blow out!

Good luck!

Also, have you change the sound settings? I think you can change it to stop at a certain point!

I have an M3 loaner for the wknd and after driving last night I would do it! Only few minor cosmetic things where X5 is better, contrast on the screen and screen quality, top view camera quality of the resolution, light assistant not as clever as in the X5. People who drive an M3/M4 are amazed with a reason

H&K sound is pretty good (so far top sound option in M3/M4). I turned it on once for half a minute.

Finally mngd to get a photo in, blown away. Also H&K sounds better than B&O when playing music from iphone docket. Am quite surprised by it.

Garage List
H&K in the X5 is impressive probably because of the sound stage. It sounded ordinary in the five series. Have been spoilt by individual audio in both E92 M3 and F25 X3. In the process of buying the new X5 30d with H&K. Was blown away buy the sound quality from DAB.
