New idrive on 2016

Is it possible to "code" this layout/format on to my 2016 idrive and not have to change display and wirings etc?

This is iDrive 4, which can’t be updated.

How about updating from iDrive 5 to 6 in the X5M?

I’ve done it on my M3 and it works perfectly.

Ask, any know when iDrive 6 will come on the X5/X6?

I have iDrive 6 on my 2018 X5. So it is at least out on 2018s.

Since posting I discovered that Sept builds onward have id6.

Did you make it work? I think if you go to nav settings and if you see veo in the bottom, then you could code it to idrive5 so you would have apply car play.
