Picked up a new (to me) '15 X5 35d last Saturday, CPO w 35k miles. Quick snapshot in front of my house after pick-up and trip computer from 1st long haul. Probably slowing to move on some of the mods but i'm so in love right now I had to put the thread together.

Welcome !! In your case, welcome back to the bimmer world. 35d is a great machine, had mine for close to 6 months now and loving it so far. Check out my build thread http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1379654 for any mod ideas.

Few mods that I can recommend
a) Atleast 20" wheels, non-RF tires would be good for winter.
b) Get the double slat black kidney grill, check the first pic in my build thread
c) Consider painting (or auto flexing) window trims to black. Will go great with your body paint. If you want to know bit more about autoflex, check this http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1438194
d) If you like the vehicle to look a bit athletic and enjoy a bit more sportier ride, I would drop the suspension atleast by an inch or more. AC Schnitzer, H&R springs etc.

I have some mixed experience with Racechip, I could be one off. Fuel economy went down drastically and hence removed it yesterday, but most here seem to get a good fuel economy. I would still try it out and check it for yourself, it has a bunch of settings you can dial that would also affect the fuel economy.

1st body mods installed over the holiday weekend. Not sure i love the Euro spec mirrors but will give them some time. Definitely need to have the lower front chrome painted black now
