Apologies for the typo mistake in the title, I am comparing X5 F15 vs Cayenne GTS!

Hi everyone,

As a passionate BMW driver, I have been waiting for the X5 F15 so I would own one once it is launched.
Until I have recently rented a Porsche Cayenne GTS and have driven it for 1,000 KM traveling to another city and back.

After that trip, I really became confused as the GTS has really impressed me performance wise, technology wise, and interior design wise...

Any thought/advise would be appreciated!

Porsche's driving dynamics is better than E70, but can't comment on the F15 since I have never drove it before....

I compared the Cayenne S with the E70 X5 and for me the choice ended up being the X5. I just could not get comfortable in those seats.

Had a similar dilemma between Cayenne (diesel) and an X6. X6 won for the following reasons: much better performing diesel (no longer the case with s diesel available with cayenne), HUD (really wanted that feature, got bored of it by now and could live without), better warranty/service deals in EUROPE.

Cayenne would have a better resale value, option list is crazy (being somewhat an option freak, going the Porsche route would have been substantially more expensive). For example, you have to pay for the porsche logo on the wheels to be in color (otherwise is black/white).

Porsche is in a different price cathegory, Macan would be closer to an X6 but only price wise, would compare better to an X4 and it would beat it, but again would be more expensive.

Why did they only give it 385?
off the line the gts i drove was kinda of dog at 1,2,3 rpms
further up in the rpm range is where it shined
but i have no use...where i live theres a stop light every 1/4 mile

Just to clarify, in our region, the GTS has got 420 horse power mot 385 hp.

385tq 420hp

385 aint enough for the 5k pound truck to boogie off the line!
