MPPK Install at Tenafly BMW

Bought the MPPK via their shopbmwusa site and I can't believe they tried to up the installation labor charge to 2 1/2 hours. Said the extra 1 1/2 is for "reprogramming" and wasn't included..

I guess the first hour is for long coffee break.. LOL

Told them I was going to return the MPPK and the manager agreed to honor their price from their website for $210 install but since they are out of loaner cars I had to reschedule my appointment.

They did the same with me and ultimately they wouldn't install mine since but I purchased mine from getbmwparts.com for significantly cheaper than Tenafly..

That's brutal about them refusing to install based on where you bought it.

I had mine installed at another local dealer nearby at Park Avenue BMW NJ for $210.00

Once I get it installed, it will be the last time I am going to give any business to BMW Tenafly. I jumped on the deal when shopbmwusa shows their purchase and install price quite reasonable but that does it with this up charge scheme...

Huge difference for me. If you drive in comfort mode it's much less noticeable obviously

BMW, like other car makers, publish a guide on the number of hours required to perform work or do an install. I would think that this is the same for mppk. Maybe ask to see the sheet. Bmwna should be able to quote it too.

@Stickyxy. The price on shopbmwusa does show both installed and package only prices. The issue I have is they do not honor their price and try to change on you once you are there.
