I currently have Pirelli Psports(which came on the car). They only lasted 20K miles. My dealership wants 630.00 a tire!

I don't care about performance on ice or summer. It's a damn truck. I have my M5 for that. I'm just looking for runflat and ride comfort. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Link for tire rack.

I have conti non-runflat and they are excellent. Ride improved quite a bit as they don't have as stiff a sidewall and installed they cost $950 for a set of 4. (bought from tire rack and shipped to local bmw dealer for installation)

Pirelli makes their Scoprion Zero Asimmetrico, which is a performance all-season. It's also available in a RunFlat. But in looking at the sizes, they don't do the 315's for the rear (fronts are ok). These seem to be the most common tire for guys upgrading to 21/22's. Seems like a very limited tire offering in these staggered sizes.

I have the Conti DWS06 and they are great tires. I also have a AAA gold card in case I get a flat. Personally, I think run flats are a scam and borderline grounds for a class action suit - I paid $1300 for all 4 tires, installed.

Three questions:
1) Do you have a spare tire that AAA will install for you or 2) does the gold card require them to fix the flat or provide a spare tire? I am ready to get rid of my run flat also, because the ride is to stiff on these 315s.

3) Are the DWS06 noisy at high speeds?

Does the F15 come with a spare tyre when NOT fitted with 3rd row?

DWS06 are great! Ride better then the Psports. No noise problems.

Hi -

I do not have a spare. I have AAA for towing and other services (jump, hotels, etc).

The levels of service, Classic, Plus, Premier, refer to distances and number of tows you get per year for free. For example, Premier will get you 1 tow at 200 miles per year and an additional 3 100 mile tows per year. I figure that will get me to a good shop, or home, where I can get a proper price for my repair or tire replacement.

And, the DWS06 are not only smooth and handle well at speed, they are dead quiet on asphalt. On worn concrete, you will hear some road noise.

+1 for us AND we do have the spare tire.

AAA here in northern California have always been excellent!

FWIW the DWS06s will be replacing the Scorpion Verdes in another 10k miles on our ride.
