Folding Mirrors on the 2017 X5's?
Hi guys, I searched for this information but I couldn't find it. Is there a button that can make the mirrors fold from inside the vehicle? I just pulled the trigger on a 2017 X5 order for my wife and I'm hoping they do because she's clipped the mirrors on her old SUV getting into the garage.

Yes, there is a button on the driver's side armrest to manually fold side mirrors. IIRC you can also code the car so the mirrors fold/unfold when the car is locked/unlocked.

Perfect. I saw threads about coding but it's good to hear that there's button. Thank you!

In US you need to code this function as it is disabled from the factory.

Go to China or Singapore, that's where you're really getting shafted. In China, 1.7M RMB for X5 50i that has reduced displacement 4L V8 instead of the standard 4.4L V8. At current exchange rate that's $250k USD. That doesn't include registration and insurance which set based on price not driving history.

I completely agree that the amount we pay for vehicles in the US is significantly less than other parts of the world. It's actually pretty amazing to see the cost of these vehicles in other countries. I was referring more to features, models, etc. that Europe and other parts of the world get that we don't. I would love to get a Audi RS6 Avant or a M3 GTS!
