I have not had the chance to drive it too much. Give me a few days and I'll pass on an update. Cheers!

Mine was changed and I feel it’s softer and sloppier. More play than before. The steering wheel is no longer centered and I’ll see what happens when it gets its first alignment.
Where I had no concerns I’m now not real happy with the feel.
They also chipped the leather on the steering wheel and scratched The back..or they swapped steering wheels from another. Noticed too late to do anything about it.
Car is 24 months old with 15k miles. Not sure what I’ll do when the warranty runs out.

Our wheel will tilt up and down but will not travel forward or backward.

We got about 40,000 miles on our (new to us car) as of June.
With an in service date of July 2015, what else should I look for to get covered under the 48 month/60 k warranty?

Yes ... If you are still covered under the original warrantee heave it checked out and replaced

I'm at 42k miles and about 15-20k miles ago I had the telescoping issue.

It's a known issue so get it taken care of before you are out of warranty.

Thanks. We are the 2nd owners.

We bought it off lease from BMW of Nashville /Brentwood.
Since this has (in service July 4 2015) with 39k miles we are covered under the 48 months or 60000 miles.....

Interesting observation. I have the same issue: the steering wheel column does not go down far enough at least based on my preferences. The range of adjustments was always the same beginning with the delivery date. I don't think it's a problem per se but still ... the up / down range is insufficient.

My steering has stopped moving up/down a couple days ago, very annoying , it's like driving a bus. Was wondering if maybe my bm3 flash has something to do with it? Has anyone on here also flashed their f15?

I've flashed mine with bm3 and done a bunch of coding too and no problems. Hope you get it figured out.

Common problem, happened to me as well. Dealer replaced the steering column if I recall correctly.

My car is out of warranty if kills me to know that getting the steering wheel to sit at a comfortable height again will cost me 3k

I know this can be coded out, but since I have Carly from my prior BMW, can I use this?

Yes I've searched but seems the only results from owners cite Bimmercode?

I found tjis "manual" adjusting steering column on ebay, would it be possible to just replace my cirrent electric one with this? I dont care for the electric adjustment especially if its prone to happen again
