Any have experience with BMW Bicycle/E-Bike Carrier?
Part Number: 82722296747
Installs on tow hitch (which is something else I need). Just wondering if anyone has tried this rack, and if so, what are your thoughts. Equivalent 3rd party recommendations are also welcome. The roof system would be way cheaper (when you factor in the hitch cost), but I'm concerned about the increased risk in damaging the vehicle when loading/unloading the bikes on roof, as well as the additional wind noise. Thanks! |

Yep, am aware of damage to the sunroof because of these.
Tow hitch mounted rack makes better sense as well as easier to use.

Just wanted to provide an update. I ordered the rack and received it yesterday. It looks great, HOWEVER, it requires the BMW OEM hitch. It does not attach via the standard 2" square receiver like I thought. This rack WILL NOT work with any 3rd party hitches.
I'm hoping BMW will allow me to return it. Looks like I'll need to check out Yakima or some other 3rd party racks. |

I have this and it is fantastic. Found a UK online retailer and it arrived in 3 days to east coast US for very reasonable shipping fee. Purchase price plus shipping fee less than equivalent of what Thule sells in US at local retailer. |
