Well on my last 550i, my aftermarket ebay wheels were stronger than my OEM wheels, which kept cracking on the inside barrel. I'm sure those pictures are from hitting some serious curbs.
Same here. On my E90 the OEM 17s kept giving me problems. My cheap replica 19s were solid and didn't give me any problems at all. Maybe it's luck of the draw

There are some quite nice replicas under $1000.
Truth be told, tire options are dwindling in the 22s.
I was young and naive lol, if I could redo it I would opt for 22's, but this time forged ones like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/22-FERRADA-...4383.l4275.c10

It's too late for me - I'm now invested with tires and it's just cost prohibitive to scrap everything and start all over

Once you commit, it's over.
Was navigating between oem 21s and brand tires... Or forged 22s and cheap tires... Decided the former from another member.
But High Performance tires on 21s don't last long and are expensive.
But fellow members do sell theirs frequently, so there are affordable opportunities.

when the weather gets better, i'll try to touch them up.
would i buy them again? yes, but i'd be tempted to spray another coat of clear on them. if you dont live in the salt belt, then you'll probably be fine.
plus, they are very affordable, and i've had no structural issues.

If not DOT approved you are taking a risk that I am not personally willing to take. Same with people who buy cheap motorcycle helmets. How much is your life worth?

Thanks for the update! Can you post a pic of the clear issue?

How are the DWS06 tires? My only concern is, are they a QUIET tire?

wheels are real filthy now and wouldnt show. the dws06 are extremely quiet. and they ride as smooth as having 19" tires. its the best tire in my opinion. only downfall is they are not runflat.

Haha, that's the same dude I bought my replicas from
Also, agree on DWS06 - very quiet and probably best all around tire and good price on tirerack too

Very tempted.

~$3k for OEM 469s and these have half the price (+$260 for TPMS)!

How's the offset on those? I see in the link it's: F +40 R +35

And stock is: F +40 R +37

Sorry - I'm being lazy, the -2 difference means the wheel is further out, correct?

Was looking at a set that's:
F +45 R +40
Wasn't sure if those would be ok or not.

Any info appreciated!

the 2mm difference will barely be noticeable. And yes, that means they will be 2mm further out.

+45 and +40 will bring the wheels further in to the wheel well. I'd suggest against going that route unless you really really want to run spacers to try to get flush.

Looks great! I've purchased many replicas and never had any issues and who cares about the weight? These aren't track cars where we want to shave every pounds.

After you fix them up you might want to consider applying a ceramic coating on them. It should help protect a bit from the salt and chemicals that get sprayed on the road. I’m planning on using Optimum Gloss Coat on my 22s before I put them on.

On the Optimum Gloss Coat, would a 10cc tube enough for all 4 wheels?

They are like $50 bucks a tube.

10cc should be more than enough. I believe 10cc is enough to do our whole car.

Thanks, I was thinking the same, didn't want to need to run spacers. Damn, haven't seen any 611m wheels with better 20in. Offsets. Guess it's 468 or 469s.

Any updates on these, are they still going strong?
I just ordered a set with some real cheap tires and TPMS, totaling at $1600.

Do you have a link for the set you purchased ?

Looking to get the same or maybe even some 611M wheels
