Aux heater not working

Hi guys,

My aux heater in my 3 months old X5 40d suddenly stopped working last week.
Doesn’t work from connected drive app or remote.
I will take it to my dealer but would like to know if anyone else experienced this or if you have any idea what the reason might be...
Anyone know what fuse to check?
Thanks!

It will not start if the battery charge is low and the fuel level is below 25%. There is also a limit for the outside temperature, but I'm not sure about the value.

Yes true.
Non of those factors are the case here though.
Thanks for your reply. 👍

Garage List
Since it's only 3 months old, why don't you bring it to dealer for a check up?

I will, of course.
Just wanted to check if anyone else had the same issue and, most of all, if anyone know what fuse to check.
Annoying to go visit BMW if it´s just a fuse.

My aux heating has stopped responding to the app, probably about three weeks ago also. I’ve reported the issue to BMW but not heard a word back from them

Differently to you I can still use the radio remote control or start it up from within the settings menu in the car.

When you’re using the radio remote are you sure you’re within rage?

Yes it’s definetely not working. Even standing next to the car doesn’t do the trick. When I push the menu button on the remote a little spanner comes up in it’s display, meaning out of order.

Finally I left the car at my BMW dealer today.
They said that if you try to turn on heater multiple times when battery or diesel is low, it will be blocked and needs resetting!!!
Incredible!
Anyway, now it has been reset and works fine.
